  1. Posts on the facebook group Kayak Fishing NSW, a very generous lady with her fishing hints. It was very sad what happened with KFDU, we needed to consolidated and instead ended up with four kayak fishing forums which all failed.
  2. I remember as a kid the shark warning signs at Picnic Point on the George's, they have always been about. Spending my school holidays at Bundeena we were fishing at Bonnie Vale and couldn't believe it when a couple of guys rocked up shark fishing and caught one !. This was near the huts, not out near the spit, biggest fish i ever caught there was a 30 cm flathead but sharks were definitely possible anywhere.
  3. I have a similar lure purchased from Europe, the body is not perfectly inline so it doesn't spin, it rocks from side to side a bit. I've only tried my lure for a little bit at TCD, didn't do any good but intend to do more testing
  4. I've used Septone Etch primer on a few projects including my outboard leg, its compatible with enamel or acrylic paints, never had any compatibility problems.
  5. Most of the soil from Rosehill to Rhodes is incredibly polluted, there's a reason why its parkland or buried under a foot of cement. There are plans to slowly remove the muck and build unit blocks , that's the only way to pay for it.
  6. The LSS2 electronics are about the same length and in the opposite end to the mount bracket, it will depend on your individual boat which works best, I believe it was made longer as many US boats weren't flat at the transom.
  7. There are ticket machines for you to pay parking there.

Totally illegal in NSW unless on private property although there are plenty getting about, $ 78 on the spot fine if you meet a cop in a bad mood.
  9. It's a bit hard to find but there are maps for most of the state on the dpi site if you search for "fishing guide"
  10. It used to be illegal to release carp until some carp anglers had the law changed, the argument was it being too difficult to dispose of the carp they caught in their comps . I agree in some circumstances its not reasonable to stink the place up with dead fish.
  11. Upstream of Pheasants Nest Weir is the no go area, the downstream bit has suffered a lot from mining in the nineties and its a long time since I fished it but a few lost bass, protected macquarie perch or murray cod would be unlikely but not impossible .Below Maldon Weir would be better spot if you can still drive down there.
  12. There is relatively little water treatment at the dam, as the dams relatively narrow and deep they mostly relie on the containments settling out by themselves, this is the cheap way of doing it but means we can't fish there.
  13. I agree there are some decent landowners out there, I believe as new properties are resurveyed they are adding a reserve along the river, unfortunately its going to be a long process.
  14. Might see some redfin come down this time ?
  15. Say ten years Fisheries would have advised you not to step out of the water. Now their saying you can walk the lower bank, I really doubt the average farmer has come around to that way of thinking and would be ready for argument. I believe the HW mark is land alternatively covered and uncovered EXCEPT in the case of flood, not exactly clear. I just find it easier to go to Victoria now days for a month of 4WDing.
