Reel got dunked. Need help

Hi guys. One of my cheaper reel got dunked in salt water temporarily. Need urgent advice on how to treat it

Wash it with freshwater via a fine mist I usually use the hose with the spray setting, be thorough then allow it to drip dry

Depends how much you like the reel, assuming it is a spinning reel!  take off one side plate to check for water, remove spool and pull drag to bits, wash and dry everything then relubricate.

its a cheap $50 reel but i have washed reel and flooded it with silicon based spray in bearings at the moment
