faker Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Hi guys. One of my cheaper reel got dunked in salt water temporarily. Need urgent advice on how to treat it
dirvin21 Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Wash it with freshwater via a fine mist I usually use the hose with the spray setting, be thorough then allow it to drip dry
noelm Posted October 14, 2023 Posted October 14, 2023 Depends how much you like the reel, assuming it is a spinning reel! take off one side plate to check for water, remove spool and pull drag to bits, wash and dry everything then relubricate.
