Blackfish Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Yesterday up here in Port a Sea Fog rolled in just before 1pm, it certainly made it eerie. So I drove up to the lighthouse to get a better look and there were quite a few people there, most didn’t know what was happening. I think some thought it was the Apocalypse 😀. Certainly would not have been fun if you were out in a boat. 6
noelm Posted November 16, 2023 Posted November 16, 2023 Had real bad ones come in now and then, one we drove into, and after only a couple of minutes we had no idea where we were, (pre GPS days) only the compass to point “home/shore” we just stopped and drifted and it was scary hearing boats running fast in the fog and having no idea where they were! 3
dmck Posted November 17, 2023 Posted November 17, 2023 Have been in a couple with visibility around 250m and sun position totally indiscernable. On both occassions, very experienced fishos swore black and blue the instruments were wrong, that their sense of direction was perfect... Fishos 0, electonics 2 ........ 3
