So recently i have been timing, how long i fish at a spot and i am starting to notice that i am rather inefficient with searching a single spot. most of my catches are within less then 5-10 casts at a spot when i fan out but I still want to try cast as close as possible to the boats or objects that i want to cast at Ie within 1m. I am trying to grasp the mentality on when to give up on one 10 metre spot and go elsewhere. Sometimes I mess up cast and i hit area several more times despite nothing biting.

Is there any suggestions to get better at this?
