Samgodd Posted November 22, 2023 Posted November 22, 2023 Hey guys, first of all just wanted to say thanks for all the great content from a longtime lurker, first time poster. There’s boatloads of knowledge on her and it’s been great to sponge as much as I can to aid my fishing adventures - much appreciated! As the title suggests, I’m heading up to Toukley Sunday-Tuesday with the tinny. We’re staying more or less next to the Toukley bridge. Been doing a little bit of reading and trying to decide whether we drop in at Tuggerah Lake or Lake Macquarie. Goal would be to get a feed of flatty - I’ll be on the lures and the Mrs and my Granddad will be on the bait. From what I can see there are fish around in both bodies of water, but with minimal local knowledge I was just wondering if anyone could recommend one over the other? Not after anybody’s secret spots but maybe a bit of a brief report of conditions of late and what is around this time of year would be fantastic! Looks like a little bit of rain around but would still like to get at least a half day in and see if we can bag a feed for the family. Thanks in advance legends!
rickmarlin62 Posted November 23, 2023 Posted November 23, 2023 The sand flats and weed edges down at the entrance have plenty of flattys at moment prawns are running so stick with smal natural color lures 100mm max 3
Samgodd Posted November 23, 2023 Author Posted November 23, 2023 Thanks for the response Rick - is this in Lake Mac or Tuggerah or both?
rickmarlin62 Posted November 24, 2023 Posted November 24, 2023 Tuggerah the entrance is 4 mile south of toukley i live on other side of bridge at gorokan
