Kingdom microfly braid

The true test of braid is how it holds up after a bit of use

I've had many spools of jbraid just start breaking after a month or 2 same with a few cheap ebay braids

Nowadays I only use shimano kairiki, sufix or nomad

Hi guys, I was testing my new arrival of some braid that has been causing a stir in the bfs community.

The kingdom microfly mx braid is awesome at 1/8 the price and certainly better then my shimano kairiki braid in terms of thickness and holds its own vs jbraid expedition on same poundage

You can't rely on lab tests. They test new line, not long term performance. If you sort the table on this link https://linelaboratory.com/braid-summary/ you'll find WFT Gliss rated #1 (Microfly, not there that I could see). Some years back I bought a spool of WFT Gliss to test. At first, it performed incredibly well (my cast length increased 20-25% off sand/rocks). However, the business end of the line feathered relatively quickly where it suffered the stresses of hard casting. Great for short term use. Bad for longevity. Expensive.

Please update everyone after about six months of hard use, including how well it casts; measured difference to cast length; does it feather at the business end due to stress of casting; does it suffer wind knots.

The box mentions 'using high quality raw silk'.  Is there a percentage mentioned anywhere?
