Advice on rod/reel setup please

Hi guys, 

new poster and relatively new to fishing but I have purchased a Daiwa Saltist X 9ft 6 rod max PE 5 and was wondering if a saragosa 6000 spooled with Ocea PE 3(58lb) braid would be suitable for chasing salmon and small to medium kingies/Samson fish/Mack’s over here in WA? 
 

also want to buy a good 20lb all round setup for plastics and boat use. Was thinking a 4000 reel and 6’6” to 7’ rod 4-8kg? Preferably Shimano and any budget up to $600 or so

6000 saragosa should be fine for that 

for a 20lb setup I'd go a shimano Nasci 3000 that will leave you extra $$ for a rod

Nasci and Stradic would be what I would go for and possibly a shimano tcurve 7'2 4-8kg rod

I would say a stradic fm paired with a rod like the tcurve or jewel, the zodias is also very nice.

My Ten cents. 4000 reels all round. Have a look at the Penn slammer 4500hs reel. I have on top reel.

Hey @Sam1414, although I agree with all the above a Saragossa (5000 or 6000) are solid, inexpensive and bullet proof reels. Another good option is a Daiwa BG in 5000 size.
