Big flattie in Lake Conjola

My wife received a report of a metre long flattie pulled out of Conjola. I saw the photo of the fish and the fisho holding it. Caught just recently so the report states. Released so it is still swimming about somewhere.

Lots of really big Flathead in Conjola, my brother lives there and I fish it a bit, and 4-5kg fish are pretty common. I have witnessed metre fish out of there over the years.

I saw the pic posted on “Trapman”, a Facebook group concentrating on fishing around the south coast. Claimed the fish was over 1 metre.

Not too sure how true this is, but 2 years ago I “heard” of a fish the length of the seat in a rowboat, and it had a 13” whole Mullet it is gut……now let’s be clear, killing such a fish is not everyone’s cup of tea, and I have no idea who caught it or if it “grew” after a few beers, but, who knows?

That’s a fat flathead. Can’t imagine how many babies she must be producing
