  1. I saw one as well at Little Manly beach washed up about 40cm. The only coincidnece is that other predatory fish don't want them as much as anglers do. This means that leather jackets are the only marine species that live a long and full life and only die of old age.
  2. Same for me...corn corn corn....I've also had a bit of luck on glow bugs
  3. Yeah, I've caught one once in Broken bay at Palm beach. I thought it was a snag but after pulling at it, it came free and thoought i was dragging some weed. When I brought it to the shore I knew what it was straight away. Nasty little thing with chompers on it. Even when i had on the shore it was still trying to bury itself in the sand, Looked and acted like a snake, made my skin crawl.
  4. Nice view mate, can you get me a job there as well. All I get to look at is a partition wall and a fat man that farts and burps alot.
  5. Wow Fantastic flatty haul, well done. That guy on the rocks didn't look too safe with that wave breaking over the rocks, hope he's OK
  6. Thanks guys, I think I'll buy some for tonight
  7. Nice schoolie mate Well done. I had the same experience with my first jewie a little while ago at my local wharf. I also recognise you from last Saturday. I was fishing at my local wharf and you came and told me there were heaps of yellow tail biting at Gladesville wharf.
  8. Goodmorning, Just wondering if anyone out there have tried the black magic snapper snatcher rigs. Cheers Jim
  9. Fantastic Jewey. I live in Putney and was wondering if you could PM me that wharf, trying to figure out which one I'm thinking of. Cheers Jim
  10. Thanks Mario, Is it good for live bait?
  11. Just wondering if this is a herring ?? Cheers Jim
  12. Dazlr, Just to add a bit more inconsistent advice. I am new also to this forum but a long time fisho. The first and only rule for fishing which determines where you go from there is "WHAT DO YOU WANT TO CATCH" Once you have decided, then you will decide what rigs to use, what bait to use when to fisgh for them. Learn what the moon and its lunar cycles do and affect fishing feeding and spawning times. Research the fish, there habits and there stomping grounds. Everyone catch throw a line in the water and hope something nibbles on there 4 year old servo bait but someone that learns the process of what is involved in fishing will only ever catch a fish land based or on a boat. Fishing is an art, it is an understanding of your marine environment. Or thats what I try to explain to the
  13. Fantastic setup mate Just like home away from home
