Hey, guys, does anyone know any good landbased spot to catch live baits in pittwater? Any help will be appreciate. cheers

Is that the normal squid jig or something else? i tried the squid jig, except the first one has been hooked on, the rest of them seems not interested in anything except the live baits. just wondering if there is a way to keep a live bait on a squid jig.

Headed to Sydney Harbour on Sunday morning for some land based fishing after the fun but non-result carp night. I started with catching some live bait. And that was not bad ended up with 23 yellowtails. And I put them on my hook to c if there are any kingies around. But every time I put my live bait down, it will be killed within 5 mints and I can’t even feel a bit~!! Guess that might be done by some squids. So I changed to throw some squid jig down. But it did not work, seems they were just hanging there enjoy killing my live baits. Within next 2 hard hours, I only ended up with one squid and some fish that I can’t even identify. (ps. Will post the pictures later on) Seems the kings are still far away, hopefully next month they will all be back here.

Does anyone know a good spot (land based) to catch trevally at night? And what is the best bait/lure to use? What kind of rig takes the best effects? any help will be appreciate.

I heard earthworms work good for carps, and are we only targeting carps or we also managed for other species?

thanks guys, will give a go to iron cove. and does anyone ever fished on the rock platforms around watsons bay? i tried there last week only with some undersized breams. really wana find a good spot along eastern beaches to spend the coming summer. BTW, love your jewies, swoffa

maybe botany or george, i am not quite sure at this stage, i am living in rosebery, maybe somewhere not too far away, but i wont mind to travel a bit of distance to get a good catch.

hey, G'day guys. its my first time to post a topic, but i have been loving this site for a while. i am going out for some landbased fishing on friday, can i get some advice of where are the good spot to fish at low tide? i am managing to use 3'' bass minnow targeting some travally and flatties. i will appreciate your advices. cheers
