  5. Went for a flick this arvo, but where i usually fish was to unprotected n dangerous, so instead of packing up n leaving, i put the gulp i had on to use in a more protected, but mostly shallow, crevice kinda thing. got a heap of rock cod, n some breambo's but to my amazement, a blackfish took the gulp within seconds of it hitting the water. crazy ay. cheers
  6. mate theres been some large swell so there hasnt been much rock fishing goin on, seems to of dropped of today, but the water is quite dirty, also due to the rain theres alot of fresh water on the surface. should be fine in the next 2-3 weeks though considering the weather n swell is nice.
  7. Hi raiders, im just wondering if i could take the middle bench seat out on my 4metre tinny? I understand it supports the sides of the tinny, but i was thinking if i put some extra reinforcement under thw waterline, it may provide the same support. Im looking at putting a new false floor in, and the middle bench seat takes up ALOT of room. thanks
  8. i once got bitten by an eel, whilst putting a fish back in the water.. i was standing on a rock in the water, n instead of just chucking the fish back, i placed in back, damn eel sprung out from under the rock i was n grabbed my hand ... gave me some nasty cuts.

  16. http://www.iop.org/EJ/abstract/0034-4885/68/6/R02 http://www.nature.com/nature/journal/v421/...ature01333.html Sure its not as "world ending" as media reports say, and acknowledge that i am not part of the average demographic who bases their knowledge bank on the media and/or political vote encouraging announcements. Global warming isnt a case of walking outside in the middle of winter n realising its 34'c, but it truly is having an effect on plants and animals, and therefore will affect the way we live, not tomorrow or next week, but soon enough. my rant for the week, lol. peace
  17. are u denying the concept of global warming and its effect on flora and fauna?

I used to live close to there Ray, its your neck of the woods. i was walking around the sand flats and off the wharf, no fish to write home about , only 1 little flat head. its taken on a digital camera, its an olympus shock& water proof camera so its perfect to take fishing, pic quality isnt the highest though.
