    the messiah is a particularly heavy duty rod.... will you be chasing big jews and sharks? cuase if so the rod is perfect.. maybe a little heavy for salmon... i catch salmon on 10lb braid, so u dont need "reel" (haha, note the pun) heavy gear. cheers, HK

    i think its amazing watching japanese fisherman... so dedicated. A japanese tourist was fishing off the rocks next to me the other day, he had absolute top of the range gear, full safety gear and an apprentice to bait and rig up (his wife), but he was targeting butter bream n angel fish. he spoke little english, but i got talking to him and he had an absolute passion for fishing. nice guy. cheers, HK

    along the yattalunga waterfront is good, there a small creek there that produces good bream, as is along the "island" in paddy's channel off steyne rd, near the tennis courts, i was almost going to go there on the w.e. I'll be keen though mate. i used to live on davistown rd in yattalunga. 2 doors down from the greenpoint vet. good part of the world. HK

    i watched a doco about these squid. scary stuff.. will eat anything it can get its tentacles on including each other. supposed to be spreading up the cali coast quite rapidly

    i was looking at trading 2 old motors i have for a newer model, but i would rather invest in a bigger boat. the tinny has a shallow hull, and i would like a boat i can take trolling along the coast or out to close reefs without any hassles, and have a clear floor. haha, im 22, but comfort is still a major purchase influence

    Sup raiders, i have quite the dilemma... tossing up between putting a new false floor, paint etc in my old small 12ft tinny. OR, sell that, maybe sell the outboard i have with it (25hp) and buy a bigger new (2nd hand) boat, which i can comfortably fish off etc. I need EVERYONES advice cheers, HK

    they cooked them up on a fishing show the other day. fish cakes with loads of seasoning. i would just use it for bait personally. Ive said it once, i'll say it again.. one of the funnest fish to catch HK
