  2. A few years ago I went looking for a light 4 to 6 kg spin stick for the beach.

    I bought a Wilson Live fibre 10'6"    4 to 6 kg.     Matched to a 4000 stradic fk. 15 lb braid. ( breaks at over 20 lb )

Almost a one handed outfit. Super light !   Spin all day with it !!    Perfection !!    Backs up as a great Bait rod too !!

6 kg is plenty for Salmon and Tailor !!  But put 300 meters of Braid on it. 125 or so isn't enough !! Howard.

  3. Ok I love a fresh tailor fillet for Breakfast Fried, Grilled or BBQ for breakfast with ground black pepper and salt. It has a stronger taste,  But I like it !

In the past I caught a large variety of fish, I love big chunks of boneless fish, so Drummer and Grouper were Great !!  Have eaten Kingfish and Snapper but cant remember the taste. Snook from south west rocks was good.

Now days  Jewfish fill the bill !   I really only catch Flathead, Bream and a few whiting these days,

Flathead is mine and the families favourite by far. I love Whiting , Very sweet !!  Bream I usually release.

Thanks for not liking Flathead Dirvin21  More for me !!

You may be working the lure too fast , bream like slow - very slow and subtle , flathead like slow to medium but if the lure isn’t hitting the bottom you will really limit your catch to the ones that are hungry enough to come up off the bottom . Bass like a little faster - always had better results if the lure broke the surface . With the double twitch on bream sometimes you have to pause for what seems like an eternity , and they can be anywhere in the water column depending what structure they are living around .

Perfect XD. Slow down. Let it rest on the bottom. Use enough weight to let the lure slowly sink to the Bottom. I mainly use a slow lift retrieve , Or small double hops. Think , How would your SP swim in real life ? With Lures you are Hunting!!  Where would the fish Be ???? Move and search!  Structure, Undulating sand flats, Dips , Channels, drop offs even small ones !

Amazing footage. Interesting how the 5 flathead were all piled up next to each other

Love.  Female flathead often have Male suiters around them. If you find a patch of Males. There could be a female not far away !! Males are often under  50 c/m. Video is a perfect Example !!
