  1. I like the button for 'Content I Started' and when I click on unread content, the format is so easy to read and you can see it in condensed or expanded form. it is so easy now to create a new topic with the drop down box. I didn't use Tapatalk as I .... just didn't like it. Well done on the changes.
  2. Glad you like it ? ?
  3. Donna and I were chatting on Saturday night and thought the Hairtail Kayakers should get some extra recognition. So we dedicate this poem to them. A Hairtail Tale I read about it on fishraider.com.au the Hairtail Social and the Kayak Krew "Anyone want to catch hairtail off their yak?" "We can meet on the River where it's cold and black" "I will" said Krause and HenryR was keen "That's gutsy" said Scratchie "you won't be seen" "Come on guys where's your sense of adventure?" "I'll take some hot coffee to have as a quencher" They were spotted by the Mothership just before dark Paddling hard and strong through the National Park They met other members amongst the trail of burley Praying to catch the elusive hairtail early Well it was late Saturday night about ten o'clock They arrived at the Mothership and proceeded to dock They climbed aboard with Krause's hairtail He did what they planned, he did not fail He's a legend now some would say A Fishraider first in Jerusalem Bay by Dalucius aka Lyn
  4. We had a great time. Thank you Donna and Stewy for having us aboard the Mothership, we were glad to help out. Scratchie - I was happy to share how I catch live bait with your kids, just remind them it's our little secret.??
  5. Fishermen - Drift, Exaggeration, Grumble, Sulk Take your pick Harold.
  6. Let's face it he is a toy poodle. My little Brandy (she passed away earlier this year) was very hyper. She too would sometimes carry on like that. I think they just can't contain their excitement when given something they love. They don't really want to eat it. If you take him on the houseboat I would love to meet him. I'll be on the mothership. Enjoy the fun and laughs you have with him. Lyn
  7. Thanks everyone. I agree. I would have preferred a trout or even a bass.
  8. It's been a while since my last report so it's nice to have something to mention. Geoff and I have just returned from Lake Wallace (near Lithgow NSW). We arrived Monday 4th hoping we could catch a trout or two. The following day I managed to catch my first Redfin @ 28cm. I was using rainbow power bait so it was a big surprise. We were told they are great to eat. Geoff was spinning using a Squidgie Wriggler colour Wasabi. He caught 3 little ones. If your looking for a nice spot for the kids Lake Wallace is a lovely place. No power boats allowed.
  9. I have been using that knot for years but as Crossfire said I always pass the tag end through the top loop as well. I have never had a problem with it slipping and becoming undone. If you are still having problems you could tie a knot on the tag and it will stop it slipping through the trilene knot. Don't forget to lubricate the knot before you tighten it.
  10. Great report Jnr. Nice to see you have finally caught a bass. I saw you tubing around it looked like you were having fun.
  11. I think you should take your music fishing next time we go. Sounds like my type of music.
  12. I knew I could solve this. It is a slate cutter and punch. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yiJ4BCB4s2Q#action=share
  13. Thanks Mrs Swordyfor posting for me. Thank you for all your responses. As far as size it is laying across a ledger book in the pic above. This second pic shows the pointy thing which cannot punch holes as the part it closes down on is hollow. I was thinking like to pack or seal something like bullets. The cutting part I don't think could cut as it is blunt and thick like it has never had a sharp blade also it fits through two pronge with a couple of cm space on either side. More like it pushes somthing through to crack, snap or bend. I hope this makes sense as I'm running ought of ideas. Tha gap part is maybe a gauge of some kind. I tried to get more pics yeasterday but the museum was closed when we left town.
  14. Good luck everyone. Enjoy the weekend. I hope the wind stays away. I'm staying in front of this.
  15. Hi, my name is Lyn and I'm a gamer. Well not a serious gamer, I just like to chill out and have fun. My first console was the old pong game back in the 70's followed by various Atari consoles, commodore 64, Amiga, Nintendo 64, Playstation, NDS, 3D NDS, PC and iPad (not necessarily in that order). Back in the 80s we had educational and arcade games for our kids and I use to volunteer at their school teaching the kids and teachers how to use them. One game I remember was Where in the World is Carmen Sandigo? I won my 1st PS2 in a competition and one of my favourite games were Bass fishing and Guitar Hero. Thanks to my competitive son in law Mark I got a little addicted to guitar hero. Graduated to PS3, I was never keen on 'shoot 'em up' games but when I was on 'bed rest' one time and had exhausted my dvd collection Mark gave me Black Ops and said 'Just try it. I'm sure you will like it'. Well almost every night we played it online for a year or two. Since then we have been at the midnight release every year to get our copy and play till we dropped. It was funny online when Mark's mates joined our team and he explained I was his 50+ year old mother in law. They thought it was cool that we did that together and complained their Mums never played. I would even beat them sometimes We still think Black Ops 2 was the best one. The last couple of years we haven't played very often as he became a dad and my eyes get very sore so I don't enjoy it as much (I'm getting too old for this stuff). We've only had a few games in the last couple of months. Hackers and cheats have made it no so enjoyable. Other games Mark and I enjoy are Zelda and Destiny. My husband Geoff and daughter Amy are not gamers but occasionally we play Wii games together. I got PS4 last Christmas totally disappointed with the changes they have made to it. Can't play 3D blue ray, won't play music or movies off usb stick, not user friendly like PS3 and you have to pay to play online. Mark has a great collection of consoles and games he won't part with. Some of them are very hard to find these days. Now I Like to play apps on the iPad. I'd much rather be out fishing than playing.
  16. Just arrived home from The Entrance. Thank you Donna and Stewy for organising the weekend we had a great time catching up with members. Winners are grinners... Lucky door prize, casting comp (ladies) and best fish (ladies). What more could I want? A big thanks to Fishraiders for my Trophy and door prizes and thanks to 'Johndory' for donating the rod and reel combo. Fishing was tough from the shore. Why did it have to rain every time we had a rod in our hand? Scratchie you have a wonderful family. Your kids a very well behaved. I was a little concerned fishing in such close quarters with kids (you know I have a history with hooks in fingers) but they were very safe and responsible plus you daughter shared her jelly beans with us all LOL. The tangled lines were a victim of the raging current. Looking forward to the next social. Lyn
