Couldn't agree more JohnK, I was there last week with a few mates only to literally hundreds of nut shells and putrid leftovers. Pity how a few delinquents give all fishos a bad name.
  2. 5 min jewie that's the dream...
  3. Hi Dave, I just got back from Coffs yesterday. I don't have much advice for pelagics but the Bellinger river has quite a few jews atm - even a newbie like myself was able to pull one out at mid-day after just 30mins. Also, the jetty is loaded with yakkas esp at dawn. You'll get a dozen yakkas within 10mins with a sabiki rig. Lastly, a fellow fisherman caught what looked like a 1.5kg snapper just off the northern breakwall - that may be worth a try if you had a boat. I hope this helps, Naux
  4. OMG congrats mate - that's one hell of a fish.
  5. 77cm!!! WOW. Good on you for releasing her - the bigger fish tend to be female and taking them home have a bigger impact on fish stocks. Cheers
  6. Congrats on the catch mate ! Caught during the middle of the day = wow never heard of that. Where you fishing from a boat or a beach? Cheers
  7. O...M...G.... Good job mate!! Were you landbased?? Cheers

    Prawns?

Hi Ray R. How do you catch the prawns? I heard you should shine a light to attract them then just use a simple bait net to scoop them. Does the tide matter? Cheers
  11. Holy moly thats a nice trev mate! Did you get him on a Berkley gulp alive minnow? Cheers
  12. 40cm+ Yakkas yikes!! What did you end up doing with them? Good day.
  13. Awesome report mate. Pity Kissing Point Wharf has become too dirty these days to eat some of the fish you catch. Just out of interest - how pound line were you using? Cheers
  14. Nice blackfish mate. I managed to land a 43cm one in mid-August this year off a green home made soft plastic lure. They sure put a good fight! Cheers
