the lighter you go mate ya can actually feel the fish breath on it, its all about sensitivity, and with the power some 2000 or 2500 reels have these days ya can land anything really

pete what rig ya using for the poddys mate? we always chase the lizards on plastics there,matching plastics that look like a mullet. Would like to give the livie a go next time and info would be appreciated. Cheers Ivz

handlines dont interest me lol, iv bottom bashed up north on 100lb mono lines and caught fish which ya couldnt really even feel that they were there, plus id rather enjoy a bit of a fight

although they may not pull like a gt, the are pound for pound tougher than any king or big trev we have down here and do pull very very hard....we had locked drag on a variety of different lines one day to try get 'em up when we spotted them, locked drag or runnin no one stood a chance, in my opinion its easier to catch a kingy than a surgeon

to be honest ya's musnt be cooking them properly lol, 45-55cm jew on the grill, on low heat......firm texture meat and alot more tastier than the big boys skin which hardens up, this bs bout soapies is an old wives tale....bring ya jews past and il cook em for ya's guranteed to change ya mind

crazy leg jerk shads are the updated new plastic mate is basically a jerk shad with extra tail sections, plus they are in a newly made formula of gulp juice which is more potent

great catch mate get yaself a tub of berkley crazy leg jerk shads and keep em juiced every 5 mins or so, every catch iv had on a plastic is right after its been pulled out of my container, bcf sell containers with a waterproof seal on it so ya chuck all ya plastics and juice in it, and dont have the bulky containers..... get some crazy legs mate ya wont be dissapointed

Nice catch mate.........me and a mate have been landing constantly on berkley crazy leg jerk shads in the lake, a 78.5cm lizard was landed on one the other day.

iv recently just upgraded to a stradic 2500 on a setup of mine and can say i absolutely love it

just upgraded my plastics reel mate to a shimano stradic c14 2500, cause my okuma flame f20's drag went, using 10lb penn braid on it its awesome for casting such a smooth reel, and holds more line when ya need it just incase a jewie hits ya, plus its actually lighter than the okuma. Cheers Ivz
