  1. I remember my mate & I launched his 18ft Sharkcat in Brisbane water for a works fishing comp where we decided to go outside. The weigh was at Parsley Bay in the Hawkesbury. During the weigh in a southerly buster came through and on our way back we had to negiotiate a very large breaking swell through Half Tide Rocks. He gunned it and we found ouselves going down the face of a wave on an angle. He pulled back on the throttle and the wave went underneath us. We went into deeper water & waited until it flattened out enough for us to motor in. I thought my number was up that day.

  2. G'Day Twinfisher,

A mate of mine has the fold up trailer. He tows a van and has the boat on roof rocks on top of the van. The foldup sits at the rear of the van in like a channel setup. He's rigged up a mount on the van trailer for his outboard that can be locked.

    Cheers

  4. G'Day Raiders,

I work for an educational institution and at the moment I'm going through some old students cards that date back to the late 1800's. I came a cross a student card with this journal report from an old student back in 1956. I though you might find it of interest.

  5. Like you Sean, I have to travel from the mountains. Call me paranoid, but I check all the bits before I go on a trip as well. I also keep a spare set of bearings and grease and tools in the boot of the car just in case. I travelled down to Bendalong over Christmas and I was quite wary of everything. I stopped and did the walk around the trailer. I dunno, I've just got this phobia about the bearings going.
