  6. woe mumma, youll need plenty of goldfish flakes to feed that bugger
  7. oh yeh there definantly all on the bottom, if i catch one on a soft plastic intended for a flathead i think ill lose the plot
  8. yeh fished the hawkesbury saturday night, near the rail bridge, got a couple of nice bream in between a couple of dozen eel n catfish, wish it was the other way around, but thatll never happen, been trying to tangle with a hairtail in jerusulem bay n cowan for the past two months, but that never happened also, has anyone caught any this year.......
  9. i know how you feel, same thing happend to me, and i was on a boat, too many wankers on the water these days, glad they made it harder to get a boat licence
  10. bloody hell sorry to hear all that, i had kinda the same bad luck at the hawkesbury on the weekend aswell, i too ran over a couple of logs, cracked a previous repair weld on the bottom, had my bildge pump working over time, some of the logs were big as half a telegraph pole out there, hard to see at night till you hear em hitting the bottom, went out for jew n hairtail, came home with a bream n flathead, cant complain
  11. Hey Leo, have a look on google maps, from little jerusalem bay head up north, go around shark rock point to your left, head westwards, pinta bay should be on your left, and then you should be in the place your lookin for, theve miss spelt it on google maps, instead of a j they put a f, hopes this helps ya

  13. some people think, ahh late at night get away with murder, not having the right saftey gear n doing the wrong thing, i recently got pulled up 3am right under the harbour bridge, i checked out ok as always, but it goes to show you can get checked out anywhere at anytime
  14. cool, i see thier kinda like siamese fighting fish, where the male is more prettier too look at, and the females are boring, come to think of it this one almost does look like one one of my female fighting fish, thanks for all your help fellow fishos
  15. Hey everyone, not sure if one of these has been on here before, pulled it out of the hawkesbury this morning, was sposed to be a flattie, can any one tell me what it is, what it does and whats it good for, took these pics n sent him on his way, i think he smiled in one of em
  16. here is some pics of my latest autopsy for my jewel collection, this is the bone cavity that the jewels are in this is the bone cracked open, the jewels are in a sack the finished product
  17. yep your mates right, i collect the jewels of every jew i catch, there kinda like little trophies to me, getting them out is a bit tricky, the best way i can only describe when telling my mates is, inside the head somewhere theres a bone, to me it looks like a birds skull with no eye sockets,i dont know thats all i can think of, i slowly pick away thru the surface then finaly pull out the jewels that are in a sack which has a thin lining, they look like a couple of long finger nails on one side and the other side have little bumps, the jewels have a marble pebble texture........
  18. yeh the big one aint, but on the otherside of the bridge(manly side) theres a small carpark that is, its hard to see on google maps, if your coming from the city cross the bridge after the bridge turn right into Avona cresent or chuck a u turn depends how game you are, depends on the time of day, then head back towards the bridge, just before you hit the bridge theres an entrance on your left, go slow or youll miss it, theres a little road that curves down towards the water, theres a little carpark there for about 6 cars or so, there should be an old unusable boat ramp there, you can fish any where along the edge, a bit snaggy towards the bridge side, walk along the rocks towards fisher bay, youll get less snags there, its more of a deeper edge too......
