Hey all,
Well being a big NRL fan i think the footy has been really good thus far
What are your thoughts on who will do well this season
Melbourne look good as always and Saints are looking strong despite the performance last week.
-
Well done Mate, nice bag there
-
Great kings guys, well done
-
The Colours is actually a reef formation that is quite large, i have four marks i used for it which marks the various pinnacles and drop offs, each mark is about 200-300 metres away from each other so all the marks u have are probably right
-
The fad is about 8km from sydney Heads but there has been literally no fish caught there this season.
Its probably not worth the effort of heading there, Try the botany wide Fad as that has been holding fish
-
Great to see you on the mend Donna,
Hopefully your ribs will get better soon.

Mate finding Slimies in Sydney isnt as easy as other bays along NSW.
Sometimes we get a massive run of them but of late they have been hard to find, there are some schools offshore but finding them is hard.
I suggest you switch to another bait for now....Yakkas or squid

Good job mate, well done
-
Well done boys on a great fish, you guys are kicking ass
-
Well done Penguin, you and Bill seem to make a good team....
Thanks for the heads up on the kings (location) aswell
Good to see you guys again, been a while, we gotta catch up soon, hopefully YFT season we can buddy up and get out there
-
Mate Well done tony, i actually saw you guys fishing but had some engine troubles so i couldnt come over and say hi, great fish mate

Well done and Congrats
-
well done mate, some nice fish

Mate they normally start deploying them about October, but in all honesty they hold dollies until January (unless we get some miracle warm currents).....
There is usually one Deployed off Sydney Harbour about 8.5km from North Head....
There are 2 deployed off Botany that are usually around 10km and 20km's from botany heads
-
Nice King, Im luv downrigging, but in all honesty we downriggers are not considered to be restricted, i have 2 downriggers in my boat and i can turn both ways easily without a problem.....
-
Spot X isnt doing that well this time of year, try spot Y...much better
-
Mate dont worry, you didnt ruin there day, If they think they have a secret spot they are mistaken...There is no such thing as a secret spot in the harbour.....every spot has been fished
-
Well done, some nice fish
-
What will you be using the braid for, What types of fishing?
-

20kg of drag....dammmmm.....have you ever tried that much drag, it will pull most men off the boat and tired out even the biggest guy....
As previously said get braid, and the key to catching bigger kings is turning there heads, dont let them run to the bottom, pull the run back hard to turn there heads or free spool your line to make the king feel he is either running away the wrong way or free spool till you can get your boat into a better position and away from the reef
