  1. They are pieces of sh*t.

Mate i wouldnt go that far, every rod can snap, my mate recently snapped a blue rose while fighting a Big king....

The Braid composites in there jigging range are rated from 10-20kg and 15-24 kg...2 rods that have a very wide range.....I would recommend ignoring the top rating and go by the bottom rating as it seems to be more accurate

  2. Good stuff and bad luck, I dropped past Marquis's mooring on Sunday to chat to rob, you must of been one of the blokes on board, Good to hear you guys got some action.......Rob knows his fish and his estimates are better then most peoples weighed fish

  3. Most kings are caught on lines as opposed to nets......dont knopw where you would get the idea that netting is more often used for kings......

As to the commercial guys catching undersize kings...well so be it i say.....its there living and if its legal they can do what they like, Most of use here fish for fun, the commercial guys do it to put a roof over there head and to put food on the table......People should stop there complaining because it was too long ago kingy traps were legal and kingfish numbers were shiocking compared to today...remeber those days before we start to complain.

  4. Like most i have always fished , i remmeber as early as 5-6 and catching bream amonst the factories in Botany Bay, I uncle used to work there and i use to catch fish off the wharf right next to him...

Growing up i went with mates to varous ledges and wharfs but i definately wasnt hooked as we went once a month, We caught Tailor, Sambo's, Trevallies, Bream but the fish that got me hooked was KIngy's.

I went out in a mates boat and i caught my first King, that was about 6 years ago, Since then i have been hooked and dedicated my self to learning how to catch them.......

And now here i am, Have caught heaps and heaps of kings and i still love catching them, I now have caught YFT to 60kg, Marlin, Makos, Big Dollies and to be honest.......Kingyfishing still is the best by far
