I have tried many brands and now only Buy Garmin....recently i had it running in conjuction with a Furuno 585...and the Garmin 178c was showing me more then the Furuno....hard to beleive but true

Mate dont go the cheapers ones....as mentioned there is a big difference between a cheapo jig and a quality one.

One thing most peeople arent aware of is that Most Sounders need to have there temperture calibrated.
If it hasnt been calibrated after being installed it will more then likely be giving a false temp reading, it can be out as far as 2.0 degrees...
So if the info was place there by members it may not be acurate info

i think you will find it is in fact the complete opposite.
yakkas can survive in a puddle of water for hours whereas squid on the other hand will die almost instantly.
do the smaller / bigger thing if you want but throw the yakkas in the smaller compartment but remember that if one day you want to throw some larger slimies in that you may struggle if the tank isnt huge already (perhaps a removable seperator would be the go?).
also id suggest putting the "yakka" section of the tank on the same side that the water exit/overflow is on as squid of any size have a habit of attempting break out through these holes no matter the size which almost always guarantees death.

Great to see the Aussie team get back to some winning form, but in all honestly SA has been dismal so far this series, Bad bowling and some Terrrible batting have contributed to the result, I think the real test will be when we next play India as i really beleive them to be the 2nd best team at the moment.
But have to admit, Johnson is becoming a Great Test bowler....hopefully his form and growth continues

Mate my first ever kingy combo cost me exactly $149 and i still beleive it is that price adn that combo caught alot of kings for me and never failed...
Its was a Penn 330Gti on a Penn Mariner plus Rod........That outfit will have no trouble catching kings for you

Mate im pretty sure (might be wrong) that you cant head out that far legally without an ebirb and radio, Double check the Waterways site....I wouldnt go out there without both, if you break down you will have no wqay to get help.
You wont have mobile reception unless you have a satelite phone

Mate JB itself will be unfishable, Any southerly in JB will turn into a nightmare real fast, be very careful there, one of the worst bays i have seen when it comes to southerlys

Mate i have a Stessco 475 Hussar and i have to say that they are not the best riding boat or are they the hest built boats, My boat has been rewelded twice due to the original welds cracking.
They are a cheaper boat but definately not as well built as a Stacer or Quintrex.
I would go with the Stacer over a Stessco if i could do it again

Could have been higher but as a general rule most averages come down over time due to form sumps etc.
Mate from memorie Steve waugh averaged over 65 in his last 70 Tests, if you look at most great batsmen they tend to average alot more in the later part of there career, not the other way around

Mate, im not saying ponting is a bad cricketer, Im saying he is a terrible captain.......those are two different things......
And mate a measure of a man is how they hold themselves, no way and i mean absolutely no way would Steve Waugh or Allan border have bowled part timers to catch up an over rate to save a suspension, especially when the game was there for the taking...Mate they would have done everything to win even if they got suspension for 10 matches.....
Mate i will always rate Players like Steve Waugh as better batsmen then Ponting, Waugh face them all and succedded......Hadlee, Botham, Ambrose, Akram, Younis, Walsh.....he faced the best of the best and became one of the worlds best.....and dont foget....waugh was actually selected in 85 for his bowling more so then his batting...

Best Fast bowler of all time.... Mcgrath
Best keeper batsmen....Gilchrist
And not to mention a batting ordering where the shittist average was 48.9.......
Now that Ponting doesnt have the best of the best in his team he cant makle them win......Now is the true test of his captaincy and he is failing miserably......
