  1. Rodd The figures you quote would be for components only!!! A
  2. There was a request to have the hotline manned 24/7 with funding from the fishing fee. ACoRF RFSTEC and fisheries knocked it on the head as too expensive( sounds too much like work generation to me ) . But its alright to spend $90,000 on 3 box trailers. BTW anyone ever seen one of these things.
  3. the poms and spaniards like their carp fishing. they manage certain lakes as tournament fisheries and keep numbers controlled so where in our water s unchecked fish pops start to stunt over there 50lb+ fish are well on the cards. Apparently they have fish that have been caught so many times they are a real challenge to get hooked again they even have pet names for individual fish.
  4. what sort of fish will you be targeting with it ??
  5. Adam The LD50 H and SLD are very different reels (pic of SLD belowand LD50 on previous post) the LD 50H is a single drag plate whereas the SLD is dual drag plated meaning 2 drag plates one on either side of the spool instead of just a single plate usually on the off handle side as in TLDs. I said using a TLD for Sambos, not Kings is overkill.
  6. The single plated LD50h is designed as a casting Leverdrag thus no top bracket .it works well as a trolling reel but I wouldnt put it in front of anything really large. The single plate tld 25 and the dual drag daiwa SLD30 are true 15kg trolling reels the TLD is graphite bodied and the SLD is full Ali. wouldnt use any on fish like sambos absolute overkill as they are all game reels IMHO The Okumas are getting a very bad rep on bigger fish. corroding and lumping apparently
