some more pic's by the way , i think my brothers a gun fisherman and i have another brother the same who lives up on the Shoalhavan i must have missed the gene pool

el-cheapo 3 pack sure catch some nice colours in their range about 9 bucks a pack no mate , never got up there this trip been there before though land based and got bream

we spoke to neil as he was leaving (see my first day post ) and yes they said that the arvo fired dave was pulling tailor on fly like it was going out of fashion

LOCATION .Basin View Basin View Parade CONDITION good two lane concrete (tad slippery ) also a small alternate ramp for little boats FACILITIES plenty of parking (overflow parking is dirt and grass ) picnic area , boat washdown area , toilets and cleaning tables

day 4 went out early this morning again as my brother was working at 9.00 am got some more bream , flatties and a founder Jeez don't those bream fight hard,i was using 6 pound fireline and flurocarbon leader I've never had so much fun in my life as these past few days , it all seems surreal now we must have caught at least 30 fish a day (lots of tailor ) but lots of action all fish caught on either gulp , soft plastics , poppers and metals back in the real world now and i hope i can replicate these sort of days on Botany Bay till next time have fun ( i will )

Day 3 I've left out a shiteload of things in these posts , my head is still spinning at the amount of fish caught (i didn't take a lot of photos and we released most , plus my brothers freezer is full of fish ) on the water early again and my brother doesn't muck around, 5 minutes , big flattie then another good bream , oh well , it was fun to watch then it was tailor time again my brother got called into work so i headed off land based for a couple of hours

day 2 early start , on the water at 6.00 am and head for another of my brothers spots the action starts again and on come the bream , i get my pb of a 34 cm model on a gulp and 1/16th jighead my brother boats a few more and i get another and we move on whiting time and on go the gulp worms and don,t they work a treat next we see another tailor smash up derby and were there in a flash , every cast a fish again ( fun ) time to hit the cleaning tables

Where do i start ? Sunday 11.30 am arrived at tackle shop where my brother works picked up a pack of 2' gulp shrimp naturals (the gun bait at the moment on the Basin ) and a can of Ultrabite (to see if it was at all possible to outfish my brother ! ) any way we arrive at the ramp at about 1.45 pm and see a couple of blokes from the local fishing club they say all is quiet out there and my heart sinks on the water for 5 minutes and my brothers hooked up already , nice bream 5 minutes later a nice flattie is boated ( by my brother ) i start spraying everything with Ultrabite and finally after 45 mins i've got runs on the board a flat one around the 44 mark , the monkeys off my back. we change spots and look for some dirty, shallow ,weedy water and out come the poppers ( yes i sprayed them too LOL ) bang , i'm on and its a nice hard fight from a nice bream poppers in the shallows is now my favorite form of fishing we move again and get into a school of tailor smashing up the surface on goes a metal slice and every cast a fish, not monsters but s---loads of fun after about 4 and a half hours its dark and we call it quits for the day,time to clean some fish

Finally today has arrived going down to my brothers this morning and i cant wait haven't been fishing for a few days and it feels like months stocked up on gulps, powerbaits ,soft and hardbodies,and a couple of poppers my brother doesn't use bait so when i go down there neither do i should be a good trip as the fish are biting well in the basin at the moment wish me luck ( I'll need it with my fishing skills ) see you wednesday night with a report

at least you got out there mate i'm going stir crazy here heading down the coast 2morrow for 4 days fishing can't wait cant even go land based had a nutha tif with the missus

went out yesterday and bonito were whizzing past just in front of me devouring small baitfish threw every type of gulp i had at them with no interest last night a mate told me i should have used a metal lure he mentioned sliced ? i think all chrome and shiny is this the case for fishing schools of bait cast a small metal and wind in like crazy ?

thats a good ep there never caught one myself do they go hard ?
