this was caught in the St Georges Basin

some top fish there guys on light gear too great stuff

Going down to St Georges Basin to visit my brother for 4 days gunna fish everyday He has my Dad's home built timber boat down there and only lives 1 minute from the ramp the fish are on down there at the moment so i should do better than i have been up here fingers crossed

No Tailor mate sort of glad because I've been getting bitten off a lot lately on them

Nice fish especially on light gear , must have been an awesome fight

was quick first cast got plenty of small nibbles as did about 40 more casts small prawns were attracting the fish but only small pickers silver biddies i think ? anyway the bait fish started going nuts,jumping out of the water then a couple of decent sized Bonito came zooming through 3 feet in front of me so i changed to a jighead and put a gulp on that resembled the small fish bonito came back and swam straight past my lure as i jigged and flickered it time and time again but no luck they were still zooming around as i left never caught one , look like great fun as they are really fast next time ? all i can say is you cant knock me for perseverance as i've been fishing nearly every day lately going down the coast on sunday to spend 4 days with my brother in St Georges Basin he said the fishing has been good down there so i'm looking forward to some decent fish next report from the Basin

Dropping my son off his mates place at Arncliffe so I figure I'll go have a fish off the breakwall at the mouth of the Cooks gunna try some small prawns today as i've not had a good run on gulps lately hope the wind stays away hope i can post some pics of Bream this arvo as i've heard there are a few around till then

I'm thinking of trying off the wharf one day { when it's quiet } just wondering what rod and reel to take do i need something like a beach rod to get out or will my little 6'8 rack raider be enough what gear do you blokes use there ?

great fish mate all i ever get is reddies no big bump like that maybe one day ?

ta mate i'll get some of that and maybe finally have some smoked tailor

is that wire especially made for fishing can you buy it at tackle shops ? the only wire i've seen is the stuff my dad uses and you could tow your boat with it

i've been getting bitten off a bit lately , mostly tailor never used a wire leader before does it spook the fish,you know like the feeling of metal in their mouth plus the visibilty of the stuff sticks out like the proverbial just wondering if it's worth a go thanx guy's
