My first and only king was a lil 54 cm rat, they do launch on light gear, congrats on the fishing trip, and i feel your pain with the lures, i lost a $15 squid jig this afternoon .

egimax works well for squid jigs 2, just dont add too much because its like chilli to squid.

Yeah just as you said that they were there, he catches one in the morning, i just went out in the boat then to around that area just managed a legal size flatty

Yeah he did it as a joke, apparently some guy down there helped him land the horse. It was at Lugarno seafood but i wouldnt expect to get something like that every time you throw a small crab in, because after he showed me that I jumped outa bed to come down and continue.

Hey raiders, just giving out a report for my little brother on this massive 40 cm bream just caught off the georges with a small crab. so all bragging rights go to him. Good way to wake up a sleepy brother

oh oh oh oh oh oh, I know what one your talking about. I have caught them off malabar cliff once, the only reason we kept them was because we threw one back, and unfortunately we cannot throw that far, so rather then being cruel.. took them home. found out off my mother later that they are fairly horrible lol.

Mate I hear you, ive been doing that for awhile now, but it seems that the days i go by myself are the days i catch all the legal size fish to take home and please the folks. your making me consider going again tomorrow.

lol swore you were my mate for a second, he gave me a popper and he had his own, and we were trying, for about half an hour for whitings to get it, i swear they just kept following and no bites cept for one. my guess just keep making as many splashes on the water with the popper untill one is game enough to hit it

Thats awsome good stuff, i tried this morning 5 am run for a jew and something big smashed my tube worm and ran under the rocks and snapping the line. spewing lol

Nicely done, Will be hitting up georges river this weekend with live worms, and a new set up for some nice jewies, so hopefully get one Congrats again champ, hope to see you out on the water some time. -Carl

Well, the reason for not using real bait is because worms or live mullets are harder to obtain then a pack of gulp baits, also if they have x400 scent that means thats a dead looking mullet would still have some respectable attraction. I know they are meant to be worked, but jew fish hang down deep and its hard to jig a soft plastic heaps low specially with rocks in the water. -Carl

Hi guys I have a set of small mullet gulp baits, and was curious if they do have to be jigged. Really if they have the scent they tell you about, that means that a lazy jew will still pick it up at the bottom of the water right?

hey first post ever, squidding is really easy if you know the jigging, anywhere really in port hacking is good for land based squidding, id say spots on here but my friend swore to secrecy >.< but advice i can give is, that look for places at night during the week nights(less people), always find places where a light is turned on above water. Im new to it aswell being only 19, but have found my own little place where i can catch green eyes and blue swimmers .
