  1. That was so dumb, and we were the ones catching them with our lights in the water. Oh moe I bought 6 paints to try out
  2. Also thanks Cungee for the pointers for my boat and technique for squidding.
  3. Been awhile since ive decided to post a report, but last night seemed acceptable to do just that. It started off with SQUIDDIN, Sara and I just heading out for a bait run for squids. The squid started slow with not a bite until the tide start to come in. With Moe slamming the first squid on the wharf. Shortly after I hooked up a little bait size squid. After I had another decent size one come in when I yell at Moe to bring his jig in because I thought mine had chasers. Turned out it had 4 chasers, which we only managed to grab one. The squid started heating up as between Moe, Sara and I, we were the only ones catching on the wharf. Sara got the price of the largest Arrow of the day pulling in one that just kept peeling line every time she tried to bring it in. Cungee George, ADawg and Snyder came down to the wharf and came to check out the bait fest we were getting. Wanted to take the time to say thanks for Adawg bringing down a couple of pizza's for us to eat. Cungee decided to have a go on Moe's rod and quickly he hooks up proving he is a champion of squids. All up we got 19 squids 2 got dropped. I felt bad as others there were giving up as they did not catch any that night. Wanted to say thanks to Squiddin for abit of encouragement that the squids will pick up later in the night. All in all we now have a decent set of baits for the jews when summer hits. Cheers - Carl

  11. More pictures please? I like
  12. I think you need a bigger kill tank 2 mate, Atleast you got a feed of Gemfish.
  13. My uncle does something like that, he sits in the boat and the driver of the car goes backwards until, my uncle shouts NOW!!! and the driver stomps on the brakes and off the boat goes, I dont think he would laugh if that happend to his.
  14. Totally agree, Kinda upsetting.
  15. yes mate was the valve at the fuel tank. It rattled itself shut so created suction in the fuel tank, It runs like a beast now, surprising for a 35hp!
  16. Mate I was going to be putting rollers on it, but their a bit heavy on the wallet. When I usually release the boat into the water I generally move it about 50 cm by hand then, let the tilt do the rest, as for retrieving, that whinch on there is a beast, and it makes light work of it coming back on.
  17. If any one is wondering, that piece of wood on my perspex windshield, is due to a nice circular hole caused by my dad, He put a support beam to hold a tarp and keep the water out, unfortunately he decided to hit the beam with the truck thus pushing it through my windshield.
  18. Alot of people ask me that, Im a fairly easy going bloke, but unfortunately or fortunately in some cases your foot has to be put down.
  19. Oh and Ignore the shotty paint job As: 1: the windshield is being replace. 2: the black guard is going to be sanded down and re-dyed. 3: the rest can be cleaned 4: I got lazy Oh and other things I have done is new spark plugs, new gearbox oil, new 3/8 fuel line and a furuno ls4100 fitted to the boat now.
  20. Ok Ill give you a back ground on this boat. Once upon a time I decided to go squidding, on the way there, I came across a boat for $1000, sure enough I bought it but knocked it down for $900. This boat is a 15ft 1980's Pongrass runabout with a 1976 35hp evinrude motor. Over the time of its purchase I have done: Hydrofoils Repainted New winch New leaf springs, bracket, cleaned the axle, new bearings and hubs, new wheel arches. New seats front and rear with a stainless steel bracket that follow the face of the seat for to make a more secure seat for the swivel chairs. And just a general clean up Here are the pictures of what I have done. Any questions feel free to ask. I just wanted to show what ive been up to and trying to keep my handy work up to scratch seeing as I had to quit my job at holden as a mechanic to pursue my career as police officer. Ive always been hands on with projects.
  21. Not really a recipe, but what my mum did when I caught my first one was incorperate it into my dad's spagetti with tomato sauce. p.s. when I say tomato sauce I mean one that gets cooked from 8am to 12 pm. not store sauce's.
  22. Joco you still ow me a trip with the soft plastics, I wanna see you do your magic with the stella 1000, and maybe I can finally put my twinpower to use
