  1. Jewgal, weird name by the way I love fish, but woman that look like jewfish ?? Was down at balmoral last weekend getting some livies before heading out to middle head...water was real murky and swell was mixing stuff up. The harbour I think for at least this week is out of bounds..maybe if we have little rain and the swell drops by the weekend the harbour might be ok again, but its not looking promising.... Ocean may be the go this weekend, but as a LB angler, I am thinking of going for a short drive out of syd to reach some good ocean Syd I think may be a wash out this weekend unfortunately.
  2. It's official.... Fishing is better than sex now!!!!!
  3. HUH? Is this really Bennoz? Nah, he left a long time ago! He said something about being whipped!!
  4. Good question Predator, I'm also interested in the below: On average, why does south Africa grow bigger great whites than we do? Our great white are on average 3-4 Metres in length, the average for South Africa is 4-5 Metres in Length?
  5. Whack out a live yakka under a float , no weight !
  6. Count me in for Fiji at xmas for sure!! GT's ....already drooling How did you go at Maroubra? A little to far south for me
  7. HAHAHAHAHA love that Predator! Catfish noodling...whenever I go catfish noodling I'm always playing dueling banjos in my waterproof Ishuffle! I'm there...lets head over to the deep south And hang on, you have family in Fiji? So when are we going then?
  8. Are you guys on drugs lol....sorry, had to say it! Nah, macks and others round up the sardines over there and herd them to land, unfortunately this time the herders didn't know what a harbor was, it's normally a beach or shallow bay... the sardines got corralled, the cowboys would have fed and the herd suffocated. Next time can someone please tell the Macks, Dolphs and others not to herd the sardines into harbors! Time we teach them what to do again as they cannot tell the difference anymore between a harbor and natural shoals and beaches lol.. Jeeze the media hype things but damn, do we need to believe it all, especially seeing we all fish here? We live for catching fish so surely we know what the habits of fish are? Maybe I need to take a few fishos on a fish school lesson without a rod and swimming in the ocean lol...joking One quick thought on a serious note, do most fishos do ocean sports like snorkel, scuba, surf, ocean swim, sail etc? I'm babbling again... sorry
  9. Thanks Bennoz, Hey, when are you coming back out with us?
  10. Sorry all, This is the salmon as a size reference, its hard to tell with nothing to compare.
  11. Hey all, Me and fellow raider Tone Loc (aka Fishraider name Novicefisherman)decided to head to a point 2 down from snapper point central coast on Sat afternoon. This was our first time there and I must say it looked easier on google earth that it did in reality!! I think Tone Loc and myself found the worst route down the cliff, sketchy as hell! We finally get down and start fishing, not much for the first 2 hours...but then!! At around 5.30pm they struck!! Tone loc had 3 bonitos on metals basically one after the other, the biggest bonnie going 68cm. Then I threw out a dead pillie and bang! Brought up a nice salmon that went 70cm. The gates were closing at 9pm and it was already 7pm....but damn, I think that spot would be insane at dusk and into the night! When you travel for a fish, it makes it that much better! Cheers Rabbit and Tone Loc.
  12. Covert ops from the commando's!
  13. Don't you just love urchins Your 100% correct though, so many tools out there now!! And shark biscuits...
  14. Thanks for the advice spinman, those little pickers are as ravenous as piranhas If the swell is south or southeast above 2 meters I won't be fishing, I'd rather be surfing winki and deadmans round the corner
  15. Hey spinman, do the stripies hang around the wash? I had the issue that whenever I sent any bait out, those little piranhas demolished me in seconds? I tried all areas and they were swarming everywhere.... Little shits!
  16. Spinman is using invisible ink !
  17. Straight home, filleted and ate the whole thing with soy and wasabi. Was absolutely stuffed!! Its hard to be fresh sashimi !
  18. Bennoz, was a great day with great company and very nice to get out of the house... BUT!!!! We are trying somewhere different next time! Old mans is getting old
  19. What car and what boat, and where are you staring from? Also, what the hell? Take the boat anyway It's Darwin, FISH HEAVEN! From a rough guess allow an added $600 to $1000 for extra fuel.
  20. If the water is too clear and you can see the fish, they can also see you. Bream spook easy when they see shadows and movement move above the surface. Try to stay out of site when fishing for them if possible, or throw the lure or bait a little deeper and they can swim down for it out of site.
  21. That first one is not a lizard???? ITS A FRIGGIN DINOSAUR!!! Holy crap!! Nice!
  22. Don't go the raw prawn with me noviceprawnlover!!
  23. Hey Nikon, Where were you? we saw no one off the rocks anywhere near old mans, west into the harbor and east to north head?? We were at old mans at 6am, we rocked up at 5.30 but the gates weren't open until 5.45am, and a crap load of traffic due to the triathlon that was on. So just wondering if there is anywhere near north head or near old mans you could have gone because you certainly weren't anywhere near old mans? Me thinks there could be an armchair dream happening here
