  7. you could try a single pack polyurethane adhesive [used for glueing timber/parquetry floors we usually buy it in sausage form [goes in a cylinder gun] but easy to just punch a hole in and squeeze out not too sure whether bunnings or the like carry it is available at flooring supply shops and possibly timber yards Bostik and mapei are some of the brands i know of a shop at taren point and one at brookvale/hornsby and chatswood pm me if ya want details due to low absorbtion you would probably want to let it set for 2 or 3 days oh and its around $8 for 600ml enough for a dozen shoes
  8. seems you have a new record there well done nice way to start
  9. inside patonga creek is the go my young fella was catching dozens in the shallows 1-2 foot deep dont think 1.5 mts is very tempting for a small baitfish try shallows oh and he was just using a 2 litre juice bottle with a hole in the top/side then weighted with some rocks

  16. great thread resurrection! i believe the drift is your best bet along the back of lion island also watch out for surface action [salmon/tailor]
  17. well i think if there are any nippers they would be on the sand banks near the ocean bridge at low tide of course but to be honest i dont think i ever saw people pumping nippers in the lake [i grew up there] if the holes are there they should be though
  18. well if you want to try off some safe rocks drive down to palm beach park on the pittwater side and follow the track around the west side of the headland some nice big rocks looking north into the heads but well protected from the swells take a good light some food and drinks and make an evening of it toss some gang pillys or such out with a strongish rig you never know what ull get landed plenty of tailor/rays /sharks and have lost plenty of big mofos good chance of salmon and kings maybe even a nice jewie
  19. yeh nice we saw one in apple tree bay a few weeeks back
  20. sorry no boat hire at patonga there may be somewhere on the brisbane waters /gosford area though but you wouldnt take them out to the river/heads
  21. we camp at patonga for 2 weeks every xmas for last 7 years great spot creek/lagoon is very shallow so at high u need to wade out to channel [although the biggest flattie we saw was the one me mate nearly trod on wading back thru 2 feet of water to unhook a small flattie the one he nearly stood on was 90plus he reckoned?? or fish at the entrance/rock wall outgoing tide if ya have a tinny or kayak theres crabs prawns bream flounder flathead whiting blackfish herring[well it looked like one] tailor and possible jews [did i miss anything!! mind you size does vary lol heres a link http://www.gosford.nsw.gov.au/recreation/patonga.html about 50 mins from berowra just byo b4 u go the pub charges $$$$$$ cheers p.s. at low tide thers tons of nippers at "nipper island" lol u can wade across to it on a low tide its a few hundred mts up creek
  22. back of lion island drifting usually fishes well too but keep an eye on the swells rolling in good boat launching from apple tree bay bobbin head / mooney mooney road bridge or parsley bay at brooklyn u could also try around cottage point and keep an eye out for surface action have fun good luck
