  4. Thanks Byron & Brent, Byron wish i could take credit for the shots, but i just aim and shoot. The camera is an Olympus C770 (4.0 megapixel. 10x optical zoom) and as you can see, it takes pretty good shots. cheers Mick
  5. G'day all, Just a quick report from a bass session this morning. The location is a local lagoon which has very thick reed and lily beds, so can only be fished by kayak/canoe. Apon reaching the goon we were greeted by a heavy mist blanketing the water and a slight chill in the air,at 1008hp the barometer was a touch low but its still better than being at work. The main reasion for the trip was to give the new Pixy outfit a run,so anything else would be a bonus. The fishing was slow and i had to work hard and was rewarded with four very fit bass to 350mm. Ps the Pixy is just magic. A couple off shots of the goon and some off the Bass cheers Mick

  11. Here's some info about the DVD taken from another site. Hope thats ok Ken ? ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Dear Fellow “***********” With the permission of *******, I wish to announce that today Dean Hayes, Shannon Kitchener (the Editor) and myself – sent off to be produced the first DVD in the “Bethune on Bass” series. Shot over the last three years on the Hawkesbury River, it deals with and illustrates in depth, techniques that are applicable on all tidal water streams. Titled “Tidal Water Action”, it features Shoreline Casting – Soft Plastic techniques – Deep Water and Surface Fly Fishing – finding and exploiting Estuary Perch – and some rarely if ever seen footage on fishing Swamp Drains. It reaches a climax, as we hunt in the half light and dark of evening, the amazing (as Dean calls them) “Pelagic Bass”. Therein, our friend Henry the Heron helps us, as the bass throw caution to the winds as they drive the prawns to the surface in a feeding frenzy. Tidal Water Action runs for approximately one hour forty minutes and concludes with a comprehensive “Tackle Tips” section. It is to be released at the Sydney Tackle and 4WD show at Homebush on the 24th, 25th and 26th of June. Retailing for $34-95, “Tidal Water Action” is being distributed to all Tackle Stores by Australian Fishing Network (AFN). Kind Regards and Tight Lines John Bethune ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- cheers Mick

  14. G'day Jethro, No not at all- go for it,ill be doing the same. I have a few more where you can see the boat rego more clearley, but will hold on to them until i see what sort of reply i/we get. cheers Mick
  15. Close enough Jethro, the pros are netting the shoreline of the lake at Killarney vale down the end of my street looking towards long jetty . Your both right in that this area is like a nursery, when its high tide they set the net and wait for the tide to drop before clearing their nets. The amount off bycatch (sp) you see get thrown to the birds is shocking. As jethro said i dont know why the pros are still allowed to plunder the lake like this . cheers Mick
  16. Where are these pro's rapeing another angle off to work now, will answer tomorrow cheers Mick
  17. Finally, now i can submit some reports with (pic's) and all it took was a new puter. cheers Mick
