Nahh... I have this interview on monday that I have been preparing for and stuff. Havent fished all weekend. When I dont fish this long, my hands start to shake and my eyes go all fuzzy. For rock fishing you want to be using 12 ft and larger rods. Depending on what you are doing, SPs or bait fishing will determine your outfit and what you are targeting. If you find you are constantly getting snagged on retrieval, than it is likely that your retrieval is too slow and before you begin to wind in, you should lift your rod tip vigorously initially to lift the sinker from the bottom. If you can get an original snyder glas, it would be perfect for your land based spots. The wilsons snyder glas, I suppose arnt that bad either. As for boat, I'm looking for a rod also.

I'm not sure if I would take them out if I was going to release the fish. Considering that they form a parasitic type relationship (as opposed to a symbiotic) however the parasite becomes (some what) the fishes tongue. I mean, it sucks that they got there the first place, but the severely atrophied tongue which used to be the fish tongue would probably not recover. Its kinda like the symbiotic relationship we have with the bugs in our gut. "food" for thought: Did you know we have more "foreign" cells (bacteria etc) in and on our body than we have our own cells.

You should also select your bait for the species you're targeting. Live beach worms, or better; blood worms. If there are whiting there, you should definitely catch them. Bream will also take these off the beach. A few guys were catching them at stanwell park the other day. About 5 around the 1.2 kg mark. Hope this helps. Will
