  1. everything I've heard out of that place in the last few years is donuts. I heard it was good before the drought though.
  2. I'd rather eat my sweaty undies than a carp.
  3. of course your gonna let them go out of that (literally) shitty water. nice fish mate
  4. you should cast some lures in there, it looks bassy as hell
  5. that spot looks magic, has it got bass too?
  6. nice, that bass' mouth looks funny.
  7. I wouldn't eat them from there, or anywhere for that matter. Plenty of Better tasting fish around
  8. and we'd have more natives to target, but that's another can of worms!
  9. found a post on Facebook last night, Bait fishing, Nighttime, 11 trout kept, atleast 5 were pushing the 10 pound mark. some people just have to ruin it for others don't they.
  10. I like how the bloke who started the thread simply asked what he could do to catch some bigger fish at the spot, and it has turned into a physics lecture
  11. it depends, some property boundaries are at the middle of rivers
  12. it's better to just leave them do their thing for 3 months anyway. they aren't as easy to catch in winter either, unless you're fishing the salt and find a school. as for lures atomic crank 38's (all colours work) Taylor made baby nugget (green & gold or purple) as previously mentioned sigletts etc, but I've caught just as many fish on a Kokoda bat with upgraded hooks and rings. Sammy 65 taylormade basscada/surface breaker rapala ulc-3 any small diving hardbody will work really, it's up to personal preference and getting the lure in the right spot
  13. it's a shame there hasn't been many reports from up that way this season
  14. it's hot and cold. just gotta keep casting
  15. nice fish. which creek was this if you don't mind me asking? unless ofcourse it's a secret. looks like a great spot. I'm fairly sure that fish is a bass by the look of it
  16. nice to hear there's still a few trout around up there
  17. well i ended up heading up there yesterday. thanks to centrepin and DWAG for the help. ended up pulling this out
  18. beautiful. might have to head up there one day this week
  19. thanks for that informative info Geoff, appreciate it. it looks like a great place to go explore, I've only been up there a few times but it is beautiful
  20. hey guys starting to get into the trout a bit more and figured I'd do some exploring through the closed season for places i can hit when it fires up again. just wondering if anybody could put me onto a good site/place to get maps of these areas, or if anybody had a few spots they would be willing to share as my knowledge of the area is fairly limited, any help is appreciated. cheers, Shane
  21. awesome, this report singlehandedly has made my mind up to finally get up there and have a crack
