  1. Hey mate

Had to get back and let you know this report inspired me to chase dollies again today. I decodes to leave the longy carpark and picked up two legals between whale and the fad. Been getting rats all season and chuffed with my first legals! They were free jumping everywhere but had to leave as the wind picked up. My mate reckons they jump like that when marlin are chasing them?!

Had four lures out and they hit the same one everytime. Great fun on 10lb gear.

    Cheers

  2. PS i looked at the HDS 7 gen 2 also but i couldnt go past the functionality of the push knob dial. I spend all day zooming in an out of mapa and would hate to do it on a touch screen. Also for the price it comes with nothing not even a bloody transducer!

Garmin echomaps 70 was my second choice if it helps.

  3. Ok thanks mate, its at 5500 WOT so something must be right. Is it normal for the prop to be within 1/8 inch from the top plate? Cant even get a finger in there.

As for the Jonno yes it has not missed a beat since you did the pump diaphragm.

  4. My boat has always been a guzzler for its size and weight. Jonno 70 has 14 x 17 prop, after lots of reading it should really have a 13 x 17 or 13 x 19 in ss. Will one inch diameter really affect fuel consumption that much?

    Sorry to hijack OP :)

  5. I can absolutely positively recommend the Simrad NSS7. It Has transformed my fishing and is infinitely better than my old HDS5.

Got mine in a bundle with maps and transducer etc for 1100 which is rediculous for the quality. The functionality of a touch screen and push knob dial is unbeatable when bouncing around of sure.

Everyone who uses it comments how easy and quick it is to use and image quality and clarity is awesome. It will mark a single slimey clearly with no clutter.

Best money i have spent on my boat, ever.

If you need any info let me know.

    Cheers

    Paul
