  1. Yeah I will stay with Club Marine but get rid off the magazine subsciption. All the boats are just out of my price range.
  2. Fellow Fishraiders, Brownie mentioned a tree almost came down on his boat at home and it gave him a reason to insure his boat, which brings me to ask the question of which insurance company people are with because I just recieved my renewal from Club marine and it is around $450. A bit expensive I thought so I got a quote from NRMA and it was around the same amount. Can anyone suggest a cheap deal with a good insurer (and pigs might fly).
  3. Fletch, you should catch some bass in there, and if there are know bass then you may catch bream or flathead if the water is a bit salty
  4. Rum kills everything, even ME!!!!
  5. Tom Tom Go onto ebay australia and type in esky, there are some good ice boxes up for auction which go for around $50 -$70. Don't know if the dimensions will suit you, but its worth a look.
  6. G'day raiders, Its good to see you getting into the winter Kings mate. I beleive with the fish traps being outlawed and the introduction of SOME restricted fishing areas it has allowed the kingies and other species to grow and giving them protection and cover possibly helping their reproductive cycle (allowing the young to grow in areas which aren't fished.) Catch yus later.
  7. Hi Raiders, Hope all went well with the hairtail social. Any ways the brother-in law and I went made a trip out to the Banks out from Shoalhaven on Saturday morning and we were not disappointed. Launched the boat at 6.30am and headed straight out, 2k's from the hump we started to troll some xmas tree lures and with in 5minutes boated 3 bonnies. When we reached the Banks the action hotted up. We were jigging red and fluro knife jiggs straight down in 30 - 80m of water with each drift over the hump. We hooked up to 4 kings 69cm through to 80cm and 5 more bonnies. Those kings do fight dirty. We were using 30lb overheads and it was like just hang on. Back at the ramp by 11.00 cleaned the fish, fed the pelicans, washed the boat and in bed by 12 noon. PS. Hey Noddy I might be on TV with you as well mate. High flying CELEBS.
