  1. I agree with netic, we caught 4 last year around 25kgs each and we kept them all, it was way to much and it took ages to cut them up, this year if we are lucky enough we would only keep a maximum of 2.
  2. I had the same problem with mine, I got some white eletrical tape and covered the whole length of the ariel. They have been like that for 2 years now and I haven't had a problem.
  3. G'day Raiders, I am going to settup a second battery, in which I bought a battery switch. It didn't come with a wiring diagram. I found this diagram and was wondering if it is the correct way for 12V. Also I was told never to use the 'both' position to charge the batteries as it can drain the better battery, is this true or myth. Also what size cable should I buy '12mm'.
  4. [ We may even make this forum visible to members only see what pans out Great idea Stewy members only!!!

  7. G'day Raiders, I am in the market for a GPS Combo. Looking at The Eagle Seacharter 640C External Antenna or 642C Internal Antenna. What would you recommend? I like the internal antenna idea but are they as accurate or reliable as the external.
  8. We will probably be able to go bass fishing off the M4 if this rain continues.
  9. You can panels from various boating and auto stores with cables that you can be extended. My one actually sits under the eave of the garage and still gets enough charge. My battery is 7 yrs old and still starts first kick. I got from a auto shop and was cheap about $60 super!!!!!

  13. G'day Guys, I have been looking at getting the same unit, its reassuring about the the positive comments. I also just noticed that they were giving away the free maps. It seems that you always find these things out too late. Shiit Happens.
  14. Guys, I got some cheap jigs from Wattos 5 for $10 and they kicked ass. It didn't matter what colours we used.

Hi Raiders, When anchoring in MH which anchor should I use? Reef or sand!!!
  17. Hi Fishraiders, I have a finder/gps combo which came with the boat (humminbird Matrix 17), its abit out of date compaired to what you can get now a days but it does the job. The problem I have is that I can't get the gps side working, which it was (I have all my old co-ord in it. very valuable) . I have checked all the connections and wiring and I have a suspicion that the antenna maybe cactus. A new humminbird antenna will set me back around $250 which I think is a bit steep to be spending on this combo, the problem may not even be the antenna. I was wondering if any of you guys may know if there are any after market antennas which will work on this combo. If I spend $80 - $100 and the antenna isn't the actual problem then it want hurt as much as $250 or the .

  24. G'day Raiders, On Saturday we fished The Banks, we landed a 72kg Black just as the Southerly hit at about 9am. It took a pink skirt that we bought out of the discount bin at the boat show. Water temp was 22.7.
