Hi Raiders, My sounder combo is working fine inregards to my maps and sounder images but I cant change any settings or get to my waypoints etc. My pages buttons work fine and I can switch form maps to sonar but my menu buttom does work. I realised I had problem when I noticed the unit was on Imperial and I tried to change it back to metric with no joy. Has anyone tried doing a soft reset or hard rest? if so any advise?

A few years back A Current Affair ran a segment about Bull Sharks in the canals of the Gold Coast and they had these two young guys who would fish for them off the balcony of their 2nd floor unit. They would rig up, set the rod on the hand rail then play their Playstation and drink beers until the drag started to scream.

Thanks guys, I tied a bimini twist and then a double to the albright knot and retested it and all is okay. I actual got 14.5kgs of drag out of my spheros and the knots and braid all held together. I realised I wasn't tieing the albright knot properly.

I used 10 turns for the braid and 5 for the leader. I didn't use any doubles.

Hi Raiders, I was given a roll of 50lb braid (wan't mention the brand but it is cheap) and I have put it on my spheros. I have use an improved albright knot to attach a 100lb leader. When I was setting the drag the knot would always fail at 8kg. Twice the braid pulled through the knot and the third the braid broke at the knot. I also used another another knot which I don't know the name of it, and I encountered the same problem. Do you think it is the way I am tieing my knots or do you think the braid is just crap. Thanks guys, I have run the cabling under the floor which is away from the main loom but i have conneted the power cables to the busbar under the dash which has everthing else connected to it. If that makes sense.

G'day Raiders, I just installed a new Eagle Seacharter 642 combo and when I have the motor (90hp Mercury 2st) running the unit freezes and locks up and sometimes it also switches off, but when the motor is turned off the unit works fine. Obviously I am getting interference from the motor so what can I do to prevent this.

G'day Raiders, I heard on the grapevine that a hugh black was caught on Saturday off the Tubes in Jervis Bay and that it might be a new land base record, has anyone else heard the samething. If so do you have more info.

Guys, From memory, if we are talking about the same ramp it is a Sand ramp. There are plans to build a proper ramp their with vehicle turning areas and the whole lot.

G'day Raiders, Somehow I managed to brake a small piece of the skeg off the bottom of my 25hp mercury. Does anyone know if it is able to be repaired and how? And if so can you give me a name and number of who could do the repairs for me.

G'day Raiders, First up, I went down to penrith weir this morning b4 work and I scored 2 bass around 25cm and a baby around 10cm. Now back to my topic I was wondering if any one has fished Lake Parramatta. The water looks good and I was wondering if it has bass in it as I dont think it goes to brackish water????? I might head down there next tuesday morning if things don't turn to s##t. It would be good to catch up with a raider. Osprey Rider.

G'day Raiders, With Registration for the day do you recommend reg. first up or is it possible to bring the boat (5.25m) up to the beach. The only reason I ask is that I plan on launching from foreshore drive cause I will be coming off the M5.

G'day Fellow Raiders, I hear Lake Lyell is open to boating again and was hoping somebody may have been out recently. Apparently it is 60% full and the water level is up to the floating pontoon adjacent to the boat ramp. Any info would be appreciated.

live_baiter I have a Savage Osprey 525, though mine is a bowrider with a 90 Merc. I am very happy with its performance offshore so with regards to the Lancer you will love it. The only reason I got a bowrider was due to the wife, the only thing with the bowrider is it lacks a bit of protect from the elements.
