  1. Well done offtap,good start to the yft season for you,will be hard to top.It get's everybody excited seeing fish like that come over the side.Hopefully everybody has a good couple of months on the fin.

Lukeric, yeah mate my call sign is Spooled,i'll be in a seafarer viking, i'll give you a call and see if you are on the water.I was going to go out from Shellharbour and pick up a few slimey's to put on the downrigger while i'm out there.Sunday definitly looks like a good day.Hpoefully they will play ball and well get a few, i'm taking a mate who has never caught one.   5. mate, I'm heading down to shellharbour on sunday and was going to try the fads off kiama / shellharbour it's about 12kms out.If i do no good there i was going to try the one about 16kms off port kembla did you go to either off these ones ,i;m taking a mate who has never got a dollie and would like to give him the best chance of hooking one thanx Dave

  9. Nice flattie hooker,there seems to be plenty of good flathead caught lately,mate of mine got several out of lake illawarra on the weekend.

    i dont know about seafarers being 'wet boats',as i've come back from kiama canyons (27kms) with as big a sea as you'd want to be in with a stiff ne blowing,and being the skipper if anyone was going to get wet it would've been me,and i didn;t have the clears on that day as the weather looked really good,my boat is a seafarer viking with a 115 johno,maybe i have it very well balanced,not saying i've never been wet in it as i have been caught out in the rain in it

  16. Has anyone been catching kingies down at either shellharbour or port kembla lately,i;m heading down there on the weekend,and was wondering which was going to be my best option,if nothing on the kingiy front i might just head out to the kiama canyons for a troll. thanx

Great pic's and well done on the marlin,i'm just not quite sure i'd be holding the bill towards me for the photo though.In the excitement i know things are happening a million miles an hour,but those buggers can still jump at the boat,didn't mean to put a dampener on a great trip,once again well done!
  19. Mate i went out to that kiama one on boxing day,and it was definitly gone,whether the current had it under or it has just dissappeared who knows but my mate went there on his way out to the kiama canyons to have a look for me and he also couldn't find it ,and that was on friday.

  21. Geez, i'm all booked in to drive 6hrs to south west rocks to try and catch a marlin and here they are not far off shore in our own backyard.Oh well i might have to get a few trips in before i go.Thanks for the report Ross.

  24. We got a couple up there last year,great fish,we are in the act of lining up our next trip there in january as i write this post.You cant beat fishing at swr during january and febuary. Once again nice fish mate
