  1. the weather-wind and swell-dictates how /how fast or slow/the boat is driven.Feel nervous=slow down.A guy used to to fish the Peak in a kayak, he is still around. His extra skill was weather predicting.Always submit to the conditions, don't push your luck on the ocean. The limits of any boats is commonsense on the day. Most days no need to worry at all.Cheers..

  2. Caught a few last week in 55m off dee why ,middle of day.you don't need to specifically angle for them, they will bite on any bait if there.Fresh slimey would be primo cut bait and pillies ok.Usually get only one or two in Sydney waters, while fishing for reddies and reefies. The only fish with bones in the flesh, but only 4 or so.Good luck.

  3. swimming off the beach one day saw a semi circle of blackfish halfway down in about 5m.8 or so fish .One looked odd- it was a calamari in the conga line.Tentacles clenched to make a head shape and stripes matching the luderick. My guess it was hunting an unsuspecting passer-by,not sure what all that impersonation was all about.
