Now the Happiest Mullet of course are the Sand Mullet , they are the ones you see in all the local lagoons !. The unhappy ones are of course , the Bully Mullet ....for Obvious reasons !!. Mick

G`day Fellas , Some time ago , A handy Mate of mine fully restored a 10ft wooden ply Boat , and its seagull Motor. The Gull when completed went like a rocket , and I reckon he Tweaked it somehow , because it sure as hell looked like it was doing better than 10 knotts. So , can you immagine his horror when he returned to the ramp at Capt Cook bridge to find his trailer missing . A long walk to a public Phone box , and a call to me , saw me borrowing another mates trailer , and going to Pick him up . Now This bloke was quite handy in more ways than one , and I reckon had he bumped into his hand built trailer at A boat ramp somewhere well.......... But as It was , he made another , and life went on , but never felt the same confidence again after that , especially when fishing well away from the Ramps. Mick

G`day Fellas , Yep , I play Dan , and I actually won the Right to Go to Sydney earlier this Year , but as I was undergoing some treatment , I did not finish up going. The Chap I mentioned in my "Whats That Noise" post Arthur , played for 11 Hours the Other night , and won $1200.oo US ,but we are all waiting to see how long it takes him to get his winnings. Another thing you should keep in mind is that "online Poker" is just another Pc game , it is NON RANDOM , so when you learn a few tricks , you hardly ever miss making the Final Table . Dan , I don`t know wether or not you are Aware of this New Site , but take a look at www.pkr.com , the Graphics are brilliant !. The only thging is , the set up program is 1/2 gig , and takles quite some time to download , even on Broadband!. G`day Fellas , Chatting to Mick this morning , he casually mentione that he had a heap of photos of his Jewie Catches somewhere at home . I offered to , scan , copy , and burn them onto a disk for him , and so , he will drop them in one day this week , for me play with . I will pick through them , and post a couple for you all to enjoy. Mick

G`day Fellas , My Son Mick "Owzat JNR" , and Mick Morley " Pictured " , fished Old Bar tonight ,and as you can see by the time , I have been dragged out of bed For a Photo Shoot . Morley caught this solid specimen at around 1.AM , and after the usual 15 - 20 minute " Waltz of the Mulloway" drew to a close , the fish was expertly gaffed by Mick Jnr , and the rest as they say , was history. The fish Going 110 cms and weighing approximately 13 Kilos , took a Tailor Head on a 9/0 hook . I will post the exact weight some time tomorrow , after they have officially weighed it . Just received a call from the boy , and the official weight of the Jew below , was A tick over 11 kilos Mick

G`day Fellas , Kerry Packer Has been Dead since Boxing Day , But It`s hard to keep an old sea dog down . So who bought His boat ??? Mick

G`day fellas , One of My Neighbours , who only fishes for blackfish stores his weed in the freezer can you believe . Rolls it up in newspaer in long thin strands , he then stuffs it into an old stocking , and pops it in the freezer . And boy does he get them when they are on . Mick

G`day Fellas , Roberta , my Dad had an old fridge in the Garage , and after laying the weed out in strips on newspaper , he would roll it up and store it in the crisper , and it always worked a treat. Others prepare it the same way , but place it under the coolest part of the house where you have a constant draft , this also usually works a treat , unless mice , or rats are particularly hungy , and if so , on the odd occasion have gobbled it up . Weed is a pretty hardy bait source , and keeps rather well . I`m going to be interested in any other methods people have used over time to store theirs , but the fridge method is the most popular one here , because weed is scarcer than discount petrol at the moment. Tommy , All the crosses are spots that produce good Blackfish . Most prolific hot spot was the the Forest Rd foreshore left of picture . Now Regarding " The Weed " , Well I could tell you mate , but then I would have to Kill you !. Mick

G`day Fellas , The Youngfella asked me to report that , having called in last night to show me his new Reel ( Won In The Modern Fishing catch of the Month ) he was going to try it out today and would get back to me later on today . We were both surprised at how quick it arrived , but he only got hold of it when He got home from work about 6 PM . He also received a Lure , and 3 Magazines which I shall borrow after he has read them . So Now , Lets hope he doesn`t load it up with 50 Lb braid and try to catch the Mother of all Jewies on My flick Stick , which I have just noticed he borrowed whilst I was in town seeing my specialist . Hi First of all I would like to thank Modern Fishing for supplying the reel for this competition , and of course to Fishraider And Ken for supplying the Venue . There were some extremely good catches in this months comp , so I would like to thank all those who voted for me . The reel will be a welcome addition to my tackle box , and I suppose now , I will have to buy a new rod to match it , as you do. Anywayz , I think I should head down to the Newsagent and buy a copy of Modern Fishing so I can see what all the Fuss is about . Once again , a big thank you to Modern Fishing , and Also Fishraider.
