  1. Hey Mike, congrat's on the new arrival. Glad to hear that Linda and the new bub are all doing well. Enjoy that cigar with your mates, I'm having a celebration beer as we speak. Cheers Jed.
  2. Well done Iain, That's one hell of a nice beak!! Jaybee and I flung some lures out last Friday for about 20k's straight out of Broken Bay in some loose conditions for a big fat ZIP. Man that water looks fantastic and that photo just wants me to get my ass out there again and give it another shot. Have to get into Jaybee's ear me thinks. Well done again, Jed.
  3. Nice spice rack!! And what's with the panadol?
  4. The kings are everywhere, we got them in broken bay last friday on strips of frozen squid!
  5. Nice effort there, patience is a virtue and it paid off! like they say, you have to be in it to win it.
  6. Great reprt guys, How clear is that water, and how true that when you can see them the heart starts a racing! Some solid keepers there and I'll be happy if I catch 20 all year. nice work. Cheers Jed.
  7. Nice work there! We're having Hawkesbury bream for dinner tonight too, enjoy with that you were after before. Cheers Jed.

  9. Another quick one if you don't mind1 What's the time difference with the tides that far up the Georges?
  10. Stewy, Just had a look at the Foster weekend, sounds pretty good to me. I'll need to get an updated roster off the boss as I'm a 7 day shift worker with Optus and I've only got up to next week, so I've got no idea how June pans out yet. But rest assured I'll be onto it on Monday. I gather you fished the top of the tide the other day, is that correct? We used to fish at jewie bay, in cowan creek, years ago on the bottom of the tide. Used to get a nice bag of them down there. Cheers Jed.
  11. Morning all, I just love the stripes on a blackfish, they get me going every time. Nice work as they look in very good health those fish! Is the weed hard to get hold of? I ask this as I'm almost 40 now and used to go blackfishing with dad all the time around the harbour and in the Hawkesbury. Dad used to always get hold of the weed as he was on the road all the time. Unfortunately the old mans passed away some 16yrs ago. I'm real keen to get back into the blackfising as I've got 3 growing boys of my own now, I've still got all of dads gear, but just don't have a clue as to where you can source good weed anymore. Any suggestions???? I'll have to get my ass into gear and get along to the annual social won't I. Love ya work, Cheers Jed.
  12. Hi all, Fished the river last Wednesday with #2 son. Picked up a nice flounder and flatty plus 3 squid drifting the shoreline East of Patonga. Also picked up 2 nice bream in the channel behind Dangar island. Mostly taken on the incoming tide. Cheers Jed.

  14. Hey well done mate! I only wish that my son had his homework done by 3.30pm. Cheers Jed.
  15. The olds used to have a holiday joint down at sussex, damm i miss that place! Used to love prawning out of the tinnie with hand nets and a spotty, never big results but always heaps of fun. Hope you get onto some good fish with the ones you froze for bait. Cheers Jed.
  16. Nice work on the sambos fellow raider. Pity about the rod but what a great excuse to upgrade some gear! Cheers Jed.
  17. Jaybee, Hey the fish look even better laid out then they did in the esky Sat' night. And the wait for a was well worth it hey! You're like me bud, the only way that I know how to get my pics smaller is to email them to myself and then add them to the post, there has to be an easier way. Cheers Jed.
  18. Dood, That's some good fish there. Pittwater seems to have some fish at the momont, I'll have to gat my ass back there this weekend. Cheers Jed.
  19. This report is on behalf of me good mate Jeff. Jeff and Loch' went for a quick bash off Terrigal on th 17th. having a big night Friday they didn't hit the water until about 8 that morning. All was quiet for a good part of the day with the usual catch of reef fish and nothing out wide to boot. The action really started to happen late in the afternoon off the reefs with heaps of burley going out the back. As the photos show the Snapper and the groper are of legendery status and this reporter is mighty upset he didn't get invited , no just jokes. Both fish smashed their local club records and needlees to say many a beer will be had whist reliving the story of the one that didn't get away! Cheers Jed.
  20. Very nice jewie after all the hard work. With time they can only get bigger. Cheers Jed.
  21. G'day All, Between all the beers, BBq's and footy it's taken a few days to get this quick report happening. Fish off Terrigal last Friday from half 6 to about 4 in the arvo. Split the day between the snapper grounds, Peggys reef and Terrigal wide. Terrigal wide had nothing going, while the gravel beds gave us a nice flattie, but Peggy's, with a nice burley trail, produced the lone snapper, a good Mowie, the gropper ( that went back ), a leather jacket, a wrasse, a beautiful squid and an absolute shitload of sweep. Kept all bar the groper and the sweep. Gorgeous day it was with a slight breeze and only a ripple of a swell. Looking forward to the next chance we get to head north. Cheers and good fishing, Jed. Sorry, Only getting used to attaching pictures. Apologise to you all for having to look at my mates head 3 times.
  22. Well done guys, Anyone would be happy with that result. It gets ya all excited to get out there and chase some fish. I've got blackfish gear that dates back to Dad's old man, gonna have to give it a shot soon. Cheers Jed.
  23. Nice work guys. Good to see someone out there amongst them. Cheers Jed.
  24. After driving from Windsor we hit the water at about ten. Headed straight out to the gravel beds and started drifting the bottom with a nice mild souwester blowing us along. Relatively quiet for a while with a handful of juvie flatties and some undersize reds keeping us amused. Managed to pick up two keeper flatties on this drift and powered back to try again. Second drift bagged us nothing so we decided to try one of the close in reefs. Nothing major except a load of wrass chomping on the baits. Kept a few and threw a heap back. Got a bit bored with the wrass so we headed back to the gravel in the hope of a nice big red. The wind had changed to a soueaster and we must have drited over a pippy bed or something for in about a ten minute burst we land two 60cm flatties and a 45cm one, a mixture of sand and dusky, plus a mowie or two. Tried to find the drift again using the GPS but could not replicate the previous drift. Gotta be lucky sometimes! Tried the reefs one more time for a sampson fish and a couple of sargent bakers, which went back in. After a few brewskies and not much more action we headed back to the ramp, cleaned up and headed home. All up we managed to bag 5 flatties, 2 mowies, 4 wrass and a leather jacket. A pretty good day all round with beautiful weather, good mates, (although one looked greenish all day), and a feed of fish. We'll be heading back up there soon in order to bag that elusive big red. Cheers Jed. PS: Sorry no photos as we have eaten the evidence!!!!
