  3. Good Bream off barrenjoey, flathead on the drift outside of lions island, sambos at the heads, tailor trolling inside of lions island, squid where ever you find some weed, and jews near the structures ... thats all i know but i'd prefer to fish off sydney harbour any day
  4. Hello there, 4 kms off South head, 60m deep have a go on the drift. It has been consistent when the jackets are not there.

  10. Hi guys, got on the water at 7am headed out to try to find some kingies and do a little bit of jigging excercise First drop and i was on for a nice 4kg+ fish then i thought i'll let the other guys have a go. Went back over for a second drift and my 3 mates wer hooked, boated 3 more. Another drift and the landed 2 more, i was netting and bleeding the fish, satisfied to see that my promises payed off (which is not usually the case ). And then my sounder stopped working i was estimating the spot on the gps but as i lost confidence i was discouraged and lost the school. As i feel blind without my sounder i came back in close for a drift. got a couple of just legal snapper, a nice 40cm+ travelly and the biggest tarwine i have ever seen. by mid day it was time to go home. Good day on the water, could've been an absolute ripper but i am not going to complain as we got more than we need for a fresh feed. I will post some pics in the next day or 2. I need to get in the shower and have a nap!
  11. Look at that! That's gotta be my worst night mare. I'd pinch myself hoping that i wake up!
  12. G'day and welcome to the site. Good to see someone was there on monday to keep us posted. Will see you on the water soon. R_Zee
  13. I have never tried to eat them. My mate Peter filleted and soaked in salt and sugar. Lets see how they go on the smoker. No photos this time. I will make sure to keep my digital camera on board next weekend Thank you Flattieman. They were allright. I can't wait to get a kingy or some slamon on this new setup. If i was trolling 15kg line it wouldnt have been worth mentioning. The light gear makes the day. I'd rather getting spooled any day than dragging the fish into the boat.
  14. G'day fellow Raiders, First report, been following up fish raider for a while though. Went out for a troll around 1pm using 2 cd7 and 1 cd9 rapalas in various colours. South head wasnt productive and the conditions didnt allow getting right into the wash. Headed to North head saw some birds working the surface, the rapalas wernt working so i started flicking 1 inch sp and managed 2 hook ups. No they wern't sambos but no complaints and frigate macs are still good fun on bait caster 6 lb braid on my 1-3 kg shimano graphite rod. Called it a day at 4pm. I'll be out again next week.
