Hello guys, i am very excited to finally meet some raiders this weekend on the king bash we're hoping to do. i am very upset that i will be at Jervis Bay at the time of the kingies social... i could drive up but if the guys get a marlin that day i wont forgive myself! G'day Raiders, Havent posted in a while as i havent done much fishing aside from getting into the rats here and there. Hit the water 10am saturday morning with Noddy who was keen to give his boat a run after servicing the motor last week. Late start especially that we knew the Southerly was gonna blow sometime during the day but we were hoping to get a few hours in. got to the spot at 10:30 got some mowies, and some reef rubbish. Then i got my first Pearl Perch, measured 40.5cm and went down really well with a Corona last night! At 11:30, and as soon as we felt the slightest Southerly breeze we packed up and bolted in. Noddy insisted to leave, i must admit i whinged as the fish were biting. By the time we wer in the bay the water was white capping so i guess i learnt a lesson... got to the ramp and had to wait 20 minutes before we got our turn to get out. Generally i would have said yeah better than nothing but i was quite happy with my fish! R_Zee

good fish mate! its not a good idea to get out fishing after a big day but what other choices do we have when its 2 late to get sleep! Good to see you guys making a good day out of it as today isnt as good to get out. Tight lines .. R_zee

i jig 100m deep reefs frequently and i think a faster reel will save me hardship and will produce better results. Thank your for you advice guys i just had a look at the torsa series. Whats the difference between them and the trinidad?

Hey guys, im looking for a reel that will cover most of the types of fishing that i do. I do alot of jigging, bottom bashing deep water (up to 120m), live baiting for big snapper, dollies, kings etc. I am tossing and turning between these 2 reels. What do you guys think?

Hey guys, I was fishing with a good old friend of mine at the banks Jervis Bay, we tagged a released some kings on the weekend. He told me that he wont tag yellow fin and marlin because he heard that the fisheries sold the tag and release information to the Japs for 6 million dollars. i wonder if creating marine parks and catch and release zones is a reasonable task while our waters are getting abused by international commercial fishing boats... just a thought.. so cruel... these people think they can get away with anything.. there must be some sort of international law.. isnt the ocean like the air? shared by everyone? always on the move etc etc... but i guess it all comes down to money and political pull.. Shame!

yeah i agree... the one off bondi you cant really miss.. i usually fish off sydney harbour i just go for a troll around south head and head south for 3-4 kms i then go about 3 kms offshore and i see it... its huge usually holds little kings and leather jackets. havent had success there in prime dollies season. By the way has anyone got a dolly off sydney recently?
