  1. Hey All, Went out yesterday to Broken bay Wide, got out there at 7:30am conditions weren't too bad when we got out there but got worse as the day went on, called it quite just before midday and left us with a very terrifying trip back upto Terrigal haven boat ramp. Our only entertainment for the day was 1 1/2 hour battle I had with a big shark, really put my new second hand game chair to the test before he spat the hooks within 10 metres from the back of the boat & the striped tuna my mate landed on 2 kilo about half a km from Terirgal. Cheers Steve PS. Got out to the Terrigal FAD on Tuesday arvo, Plenty of rat kings out there no dolphin fish though

  8. Bad luck netic. Am heading out on Wednesday again to my homemade job. My mate just came back from South West rocks. Reckons the Dollies are a bit of a hit and miss up there but he did manage a few aswell as heaps of rat Kings around the FAD. Cheers Steve by the way fellas, Could share the co-ordinates with the wave recorder off Sydney with us. The last time I tried to find the one off North head no much luck Am heading down to Sydney for a christening thursday week and will give it a try. Thanks guys Steve PS: Planning to fish the Saturday and the Sunday would love to pair up with a fishraider or fishraiders.
  9. Just a quckie guys, Whats the best way up getting rid of that black crap inside a Morwong. I use a tooth brush takes me hours anyone have any better methods of cleaning them? Cheers Steve
  10. Gday all, A much better session then the morning, its amazing how the wind can change. Got back out on the water just after 3pm hardly a breath of wind. Spent four hours bottom bashing at The Farm approximately 18km out. First few drops leatherjackets, which was a bit worrying but after 3 were caught the school decided to bugger off and leave us in peace hehe. Had three other blokes onboard and I no time a triple hook up on reefies which left me holding my rod at the front of the boat looking a bit and my mates carrying on like silly buggers . Mate number 1 had his fish in the boat first a nice Blurter 42cm was a great fish. Mate number 2 &3 were at a dead heat a smaller Trevor and a Goatfish . Had never seen one or even heard of one until about a week ago until I got my first up at Forster and mate number 3 getting one today . I got some revenge on the boys in a matter of minutes I had hooked up to my first fish. Turned out to be a double header of a Sea perch and a Nannygai both fish decent size too and was my first Sea Perch in a while Headed in at 7:30 after a great late afternoon session. We finished the day with 21 Keepers between four blokes. 6 trevally, biggest went at 49cm. 4 Sea Perch, biggest at 40cm. 3 Nannygai, biggest at 38cm.2 Mowies, biggest 45cm. 1 Goatfish, 40cm. 1 Reddie,37cm. 3 jackets not even gonna bother and a 52cm Trag my mate Kevs first. Cheers guys Steve R_Zee no sign of any Dollies mate. Stopped off at my homemade fad as we headed out this arvo. Nobody home
  11. Gday guys & gals, Took a run outside with four mates onboard. Very windy and we were getting thrown around everywhere. Pulled into Caves beach and burleyied up over the reef the current was roaring. We gave a burleying and plonked a few baits on the bottom. All the usual stuff Wrasse, Red rockies and managed a few legal snapper and a small mowie. Going to try again this arvo as the winds meant to drop later on. Cheers Guys Steve
  12. Hey fellas, Spoke to my mate about an hour ago. Four all up all around the 80cm mark and taken within half a km range of the fad up there. Its starting to sound promising for us blokes ay Cheers Steve
  13. Hey guys, Just got confirmation form a mate up at SWR. 3 Dollies caught within the space of an hour . Will keep you posted when I here more Steve
  14. I agree with ya netic mate, A few years ago I set up a homemade Fad off Newcastle told one bloke who I thought I could trust, two or three trips later half a dozen boats were fishing it
  15. cheers mate, My mate swears by them. Thats all he uses for bottom bashing on his boat Steve
  16. Cheers mate, Im pretty sure his budget is $200 but thanks anyways and 50lb braid on a charter special sheeez lol Steve
  17. Gday All, Tommorrow i'm taking a first timer out for a bottom bash. He's a new timer to offshore fishing . He's pretty keen on picking up a well priced combo even though I've offered to let him use one of my 35 odd combos . Anyways any advice on a decent combo for under $200, I recommended a Penn Gti30 combo for $175 but any other suggestions would be appreciated Thanks All Steve
  18. Fletch, Mate haven't heard of too many Bass in Lane cove although i've heard some people getting EP's futher up in the system, I could be wrong buddy Steve
  19. Mate, where do the submissions go to?
  20. Cheers fellas , A few of the blokes up there reckon that The Pinnacle has been saved, would be such a bugger if we lost it. Losing Broughton is worse enough Steve
  21. Gday Guys, This one's a bit shorter fellas Day 3, here we go Another great day on the water. I was fishing solo today as the missus was still a bit crooke from yesterday. First stop was the bait grounds and again literally thousands of Slimies under the boat. Trolled south again for 1 Bonnie, 1 Tailor and a Foul hooked Drummer lol. Headed for seal rocks in the company of a few of the other boys. We were greeted by Big schools of Kings. I'd say 90% were Rats. Boated about 20 odd in no time. They were smashing anything we were throwing at them , Jigs, Sluggos, metal slices and even at one stage a bare hook. Was great fun even though the majority of them went back. Ended up heading back to the pinnacle with 3 Keepers biggest went at 80cm and other two 62cm and 65cm. Once again the Pinnacle was invaded by Sweep bloody things. Once I got past the sweep I managed to land my first ever Goatfish and a couple of Mowies, spoke to the boys and they reckon that Goatfish are tops on the plate so it should be interesting to try . Was a great few days up there and can't wait to come back again soon Cheers Guys Steve R_Zee: Mate quite a few reports of Dollies up at Forster, two Blokes headed out wider yesterday and managed a couple each near the shelf & a bloke pulled a small one off the bottom fishing close to the traps this morning. Looks like we'll be in for an early start to the season mate Richie: The Pinnacles just off Cape Hawke mate about 10 kilometres south of Forster is well known as a breeding ground for Grey Nurse sharks. Pretty easy to find but If you want i'll give you the Gps co-ordinates for it mate.
  22. hehe, thank god to that mate
  23. Congratulations mate , Good on ya. Top fish!!! Steve
