  1. Hi! Will be putting my rego numbers on my boat later today. Any advice or tips on how to get them perfect?
  2. What was the reason you removed the carpet again? Maintenance?
  3. Ive seen a guy and his Ford truck at berowra. He had the hand break on but i could slowly see the car giving way. It started to roll and i made a dash for his car. Was gonna jump through the window but he made it first. Ford
  4. Glass. Have had 3 alloy, and onto my second glass now
  5. Gotta love that knowledge handed down
  6. Hi guys! So i went to the shops yesterday and realised the wire does come fitted to the unit. So this one has just given way somehow. I bought a new unit so will fit it myself. Gary, thanks for your kind offer
  7. I agree with you. I do car radios all the time so I thought this was weird but it looked like it came off the nut. I have to have a proper look at it.
  8. Oh there might be a place for that pin to go in above the nut and connect to the aerial. That would make more sense but i couldnt see under it before. I will have a look tonight.
  9. This is the back view. Does the peeled back wire and tip need to go under the nut or just the tip?
  10. Lol @ the guy with the quintrex and browns! Somethibg my mate would do. I have a 20ft boat and about 6yrs experience on the water. I still havent been further than 2-3kms out. I know what you mean about riding the sea, that is quite fun when you know what you are doing. But for know i am still leaving browns for another time.

    Wiring aerial

Hi, I just got a new boat and the aerial had the wire sticking out. I'm assuming the wire was screwed down to the nut on the rear side. Is that correct?
  12. Hi guys, has anyone ever seen this type of insert? I am trying to find it as I need one. I have found others, but not this style.
  13. I have never had problems with carpet. But I am a neat freak so you guys might not be ken on this. I have a wet and dry vacuum. So after every trip I was the boat then I run the vacuum!
  14. Good on you for sharing your spots too - welcome
  15. Been there before and feel your pain. Sometimes i get tempted to park behind these muppets with my car and trailer to teach them a lesson. But you never know what they might do.
  16. I heard you cant camp on the beach anymore. There is a caravan park nearby. Otherwise go to honemoon bay, jervis bay. Camping, 4x4. Tracks and great fishing.
  17. Thanks for that mate. They are annoying when you're fishing!
  18. I feel your pain! I don't use that ramp often but in Berowra you get the same problem and it's quite annoying. On weekends, if you get there by midday you won't find a spot as everyone has parked in the trailer areas. If I go out to Sydney, I normally use Drummoyne boat ramp.
  19. What kind of birds are these? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uJdgEOwyPmc They are like aeroplanes, they fly really low and then hand around the back of your boat and steal your bait. A lot of the time they get hooked! They are really annoying!! BTW the video is not mine. That is from the Fishing reports section.
  20. Is there a friend you don't really like? haha
  21. hahaha, was gonna say, taste it haha! But I see your point here
  22. Good to see members helping eachother without realising. I normally run the boat at home or garage etc before I head to the ramp. Just assures me I have THE KEY for one and that the motor works. Remember once was at Berowra. Family came down from Blue mountains with their boat....forgot the key!
  23. You also have calabash bay. Its the first bay on the right soon as you pass the houses. I normally fish the left hand side near the rocks. Get some bream along there. Also there is a drop off as you approach the middle of the bay towards the sand back. Try there for some flatties.
  24. What's the update? How did you go?
