    Boat gauges

Hi! Are all boat gauges universal size? Besides Yamahas square gauges? What about the control boxes? I'm assuming these will be slightly different? I have the flush mounted mercury on mine, just wondering if it will be the same to fit an evinrude or honda for example?
  2. When you go fishing you will appreciate the room. I would go for the quintrex.
  3. I've been thinking of getting a four stroke lately as they are nice and quiet. The Yamaha seems to be pretty quiet but i havent heard many other 4's. Who has the quieter motor you think?
  4. Saw this the other day - might be a member here! WIN!
  5. Hi mate, I use a lot of leds on my boat and they are great! For the cabin i have strips running along the inside and a round courtesy led light on either side. That will be enough for rigging. Can you put a light on the side at all? I dont think the ones along the gunnel will be enough unless you want to rig up on the floor. I bought a 5m reel that can be cut every 3cm for $22. They are still running today! PM me for more info. Happy to show you my boat if u need help
  6. Are there plenty of salmon around the harbour? Planning on taking some friends out Saturday morning, don't want to fail Can anyone recommend some areas to try? I will be on a boat! Thanks!
  7. What about adding silicone around the terminals?
  8. I'm about to change my trailer plug on my car again. Probably twice in 6 months, keeps getting rusty. Is there a good plug out there with stainless screws and connectors?
  9. Hi Guys, Is there a reef near scotland island? I heard you can get some harks from there? Anyone know where this is?
  10. Well when we come to the boat ramp from the Hawkesbury at night. I would say around 5 degrees, I am the only one in shorts and in the water placing my boat onto the trailer
  11. Wow that is awesome!! I have always wanted to catch one of these. Could I come along to the next session?
  12. I was pretty convinced the butane gas ehater was the way to go, but hey I wills ave the $100+ fee and just stick to the warm clothes! But would be nice
  13. If you fish the Hawkebury you know it gets cold!! Has anyone had one of those portable heaters on board? And if you do, does it actually make a difference or not worth the $100+ price tag?
  14. Awesome! Always good to break up the week!

  16. Hi mate! There are a couple of options. Apple Tree Bay is by far the closest. Although I have heard rumours of gates closing, I have been going there for years and have never been locked up. If you are worried, try launching at Brookklyn, NOT mooney mooney boat ramp, but Parsley Bay. It's protected, wide ramp and not too far either. But Apple tree is closer!
  17. I was there last weekend until 11pm or later. All the times I have been there they have never closed the gates. So I was shcoked about people talking about gates closing. When I was a regular a year ago, they never closed the gates either. If you are worried about the gates, go to Parsley bay boat ramp Brooklyn. Not the one next to the bridge.
