Hi the lake is well mark for the channels so you won't have a problem, plenty of fish dift the channel or out at lake all different fish. Most fun is finding the right spot when you get a boat and discovery what bites where. Steve

yes on the shark told by the guy in the bait shop a 2 metre Hammerhead & a bull shark had a go at a Kayak a while ago plus you can have a look at this on the fishing side heaps of flathead, bream,whiting & taylor, Only seen them at the boat ramp when they clean them a week ago. Steve

Hi if you go to Goggle maps you can see the boat ramp at Kanahooka. I type in on goggle Lake Illawarra on the maps and it should come up. Steve

Hi my son and I had a fish on Saturday & Sunday at windang we didn't do as well as you we got 3 30cm odd flathead and 3 just undersize Bream on Saturday. But the best part was we had some old chicken breast that I was using for burley my son had some on his hook and Bang the reel started screaming with the light gear and social fishermen that we are, i just had a laugh watching my son trying to stop this fish with no hope, best 15 second in the boat for years. I'm saying it was a jewie or maybe the Hammerhead they seen 2 weeks ago in the channel.

I'll be there this weekend to, thanks to the above for the spots. I did fish there a couple of weeks ago but the wind picked up and that was it. Before that I fished over 30 years ago when you were allowed to fish from the bridge and we always had a great time and caught fish. Steve

Thank you all, Huey was right on the money BUT found the impeller ok when I pull down the gearcase the driveshaft came with it I don't think that's normal. Steve

Good day all, I was wondering if any body can help me with how do I take of the gearbox of a 25hp johno 2000 model 2 cylinder. I just purchase this engine and gave it a run in the drum a bit of a miss first up then all ok plenty of water out of the tell tale after a couple of minutes running just a trickle and then none. So I started pulling this apart go to removing the four bolts and one nut, now I have gave it a shake and nothing I think I have missed something where the gear selector is.I don't want to stuff it up. If any body can help I would be vert greatful. As I have miss out Xmas time wettting a line I don't want to miss out easter aswell.. Steve

Hi all, I'm at the stage for a new motor I have a old 4.20 aluminuim forward steer.Normal fishing is very social at Greenwell Point and don't care about speed I just want to have trouble free on the water.My thought was 15hp but not sure if this is to small.So if any one can help on what brand and what hp would be great. Thank you,I have spoke to my mate he had no problem when he flushed the motor out only when is on a load it played up,we feel that it's electrical but not 100% sure. Steve

Hi all,I was out with a mate the other day when his motor just drop revs and started to sound like you were trying to start the motor,but if you 1/2 throttle the motor would sit on 2500 rpm with no problem.The motor is a johno 70hp 92 model.Any idea Steve

Hi all,just thought it was time to show the boat it is an oldie but it foat and even had a few fish caught from in it.The model a De haviland 4.2m been told it's about 1963 model with a 40 Hp Mercury mid seventie that every body hates but it fires up ok.Mainley uses it at Greenwell Point and a couple of times around Tom ugly's.. Sorry that my Nephew not me I'm as old as the boat
