Hey raiders Thinking of hiring a boat tomorrow at 11ish and just wondering if anyone has any good spots to go and try and what bait to use. Hey raiders the surf today at newport today is looking great, the waves are flat a bit of a westerly is blowing and there are a few great gutters. Anyone wanna come down anytime from now and have a flick and see if we cant catch a fish, hope to see someone down their tight lines flattiefisher27

Nice flattie you got there especially since you caught it with a pillie you found on the ground the flathead doesnt look to healthy though anyway nice catch

hey raiders sorry i didnt do a report on this earlier i didnt have an account then so anyway: Went down to newport beach this time last year, not anticipating anything cause i have never caught anything off the beach before so i went down and cast out a beach worm and waited, nothing happened for 15 mins so i checked if my bait was still on the line and as it got close to the shore i felt something pulling i was so happy and it ended up being a 46cm flattie. So it was getting quiet after that so i moved down the beach a bit. Waited a few minutes and something hits my bait i pick it up and i have another fish on the line i rell it in and it is a 38cm whiting i didnt know they grew this big. Another 20 minutes later i catch another whiting which was 32cm. It ended up being a great day at the beach and i was really happy with myself Tight lines flattiefisher27

Hey raiders Had a good day at salt pan wharf today. 2nd cast came up with a little 20cm snapper and then we get a few more little ones but then near the end of the day my rod buckles over and i reel in a 30cm bream not my best one but it still put up a great fight tight lines flattiefisher 27

Nice fish My PB whiting was caught of newport beach and it was 38cm i didn't know that they grew that big 43cm is a monster whiting it must have pulled hard

hey i was the kid that was fishing of the end of the wharf unfortunately i dropped a nice flattie but we caught a few undersized bream. Were you right out in the corner and then did you move to the wharf?

Hi raiders Just trying to find some good land based fishing spots around the northern beaches. Ive tried around narra lakes and most of pittwater with not much luck. I've been using prawns and worms and the biggest fish i've caught is a 40cm flathead. Trying to find a spot where i can catch flathead, bream, whiting etc Any help would be great thanks flattiefisher27
