Hi Raiders I have never targeted the illusive Bass before and I thought I would give it a go yesterday in the and it proved to be a successful and soul enlightening morning. A quick 15 minute drive + a 15 minute walk found me in one of Mother nature’s special spots. 3 casts in and I had my first Bass… Wooo Hooo. No size but WHO CARES The next fish made me work for a while and was only a small upgrade @ about 200mm still a nice very healthy Bass. What a day.. A bit of a walk and 30 or 40 flicks later and BANG WHOOSSCA I was smoked. I didn’t get a wind on the reel just lost line to something a lot better to my silly string. Stripped about 15-20Mtrs before reefing me with a bust off. (Shite I was fresh water fishing). That was the last excitement of the day so I chilled taking a few happy snaps and just loved the moment. The weapon was a Kokoda Gold series “The Bat” small, and my Canon EOS 70D. JD

Stewie thinking he same my self after 2 days on the dam for a donut. Hard work! About 20 boats fished this week for 3 fish that I have heard of. 1 session left The 4 hr widndow is ours with any luck!!! Hi after a few pre fishes with a gun raider fisher recently, I have started a quick 5 day QLD fish trip with a good mate from the Gold Coast. Day one today was average to say the least. 3:30 out of bed, 5:00 on the water finding nice Poddys via a cast net(too easy) we were off to the jumping pinns. Dead as a door nail. Met a pro there I fished with two years ago and his words were water is shite Not so happy as we see him leave soon after to outside waters which are beond our ice cream container. (Top boat LEZ) 4.5 Mtr poly craft I love your boat. Quick change of tactics Soft plastics in a near by spot! First up was a respectable lizard at about 45. Lez caught a lovely stone fish. No help from me there. And then dinner. Flatty @about 60. She would usually go back but we were feeding three. Very tasty.next girl goes back for sure. Heading north tomorrow to lake Mondurm...Gin Gin 5 hrs nth of Brissy to find a barra Fingers crossed JD Damage was done on a Z.Man 4" swimmer Red

Gregh1 Going out for donuts is never fun, but makes it soooo much better when you learn those good spots, how to do it and put your plan into action. Very nice read Scratchie, You have made me a little nervous. June 2015 I have a trip coming up similar to yours to Swains Reef Qld. I bought a little Stella 10000 and a T Curve rated at 50 Lb from a bloke in here (Fishraider) and i'm thinking i'm under gunned. Note to self. Spare line... Spare line...
