I did the same at the start of winter to my tumble dryer. The bearing cost $2 at my local bearing store. Simpson wanted something like ?? $25. + postage Labor cost was about 3 beers of time. Its satisfying fixing stuff like that. JD

Perch I think this is a much more accurate Identification. From the Department of Primary Industries. http://www.dpi.nsw.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0008/375965/Whitebait.pdf Wiki missed by a country mile. Galaxias species is more like 4" skinny trout. Your little fella is not a Whitebait - Sandy Sprat Your one has an additional rear dorsal fin (correctly called a Adipose Fin) Still is a pretty little fella Good luck in You ID

Wow nice Job I have a 5500 in the garage that I bought when I was 13 (40yrs ago) Didn't that set me back a lot of pay packets, for the love of fishing! She doesn't work like new any more, but after seeing your effort I should show her some love! JD

How Very Very true, You spend hundreds or even thousands on your gear. A lot of time and effort planing and getting that bait or lure in the water. All is not worth Jack if you do not have your terminal tackle tied correctly. Next one to keep an eye on is frays or nicks in your line, If it isn't perfect redo your rig. That next fish could be the fish of a life time! JD

I saw a small dog grabbed at Forster, saved by its owner who crash tackled the bird to get his dog back. It was gone for all money. All the other birds wanted a bit as well. Aggressive shits some times. Love Kookaburras but they are other bird species killers @ at the nest. JD

I have rarely eaten raw fish as it was to much like eating bait (stupid me) On my recent charter up north this Dog Tooth tuna was served as afternoon tea. I am now hooked for ever. So 1/ Dog tooth tuna JD

Steve Easiest is use a small barrel sinker either painted or polished and a treble hook. Great for stripies that mainly feed on little fellas like that. Yowie Nice post as always Dave
