    Mate, buy a boat and change your life! That's what I did and move from the rat race and started to enjoy life. We are only on this earth for a short period of time, enjoy it! I bet Kerry packer on his last legs didn't lay there thinking how much money he amassed. It would have been the times he shared and enjoyed with his family and friends. If you enjoy spending time on the water, don't wait until your old and cranky to experience life! Do it now! IMO Cheers scratchie!!!

    All good! Believe it or not, one was a wobby about 30kg. Didn't notice the line slowly sneaking off while I was using another rod at night. And the second is out there swimming with an 8/0 hook and 60lb leader somewhere!

    Sort of linc, but it allows you to get more line on your spool. I prefer fishing with mono on the beach. Lungfai, you are quiet cheeky and yes I've hit the braid twice!

    I sometimes run 100m of braid at the back of 200m of mono! If I hit the braid I know I'm onto a big fish! Cheers scratchie!!!

    Hi Krause, The last 2 weeks at various places on the mid north coast, my mate and I have been using river2sea poppers 35mm and 45mm and atomic crank38 mid divers in orange, green, red & white. Have caught a few thumper whiting between us up to 47cm. Good luck! Cheers scratchie!!!

    Smallest about 23cm. And they are trumpeter whiting, so no legal size limit is required.
