  1. Cheers, was a nice little feed. The blue swimmer was given to me for helping out another fisho!
  2. G'day raiders, Headed out yesterday morning early in the hope of getting an early morning king and trying to beat tourists at the boat ramp. Well, I didn't manage either. A lot of traffic and no kings! While me and the young fella were out there, the wife rings up and says they all want to come, so pick them up and change plans to chase whiting. It's always great fun chasing whiting and the kids love it. We all managed to get a few and a million small squire but that's ok too because it keeps the little ones entertained. While we were drifting we noticed a few squid following up our hooks, so my eldest tried to net them. He almost managed to get it in the net but he missed. The squid didn't miss him though! Anyway, we took home a feed that was demolished in seconds and had a bit of fun out on the water! Thanks for reading! Cheers scratchie!!!

  6. Yeah that's a bit far for me unless the young fellas are playing league! If the do play that way this year I'm bringing a rod and will send you a pm!
  7. Mate, your killing it on the bass! And congrats to the mrs as well on her great fish. Where abouts in the hunter are you fishing (general area) if you don't mind me asking. I was throwing a few today at eagleton. Never been there before and was only there to eat lunch but what do you know there was a rod in the car and lures! Well done mate! Cheers scratchie!!!
  8. Great effort solo mike! It's amazing how many times crap hits the fan when fishing alone! But you landed it, so well done mate! Cheers scratchie!!!
  9. Great stuff dean, it's a bit different from fishing the hawkesbo but the bass are certainly revved up in the Nepean ATM. Well done! Cheers scratchie!!!

  11. That's great info manhands! Congrats on your haul too! Cheers scratchie!!!
  12. Nice one mate! A bit of a change from the Jew fishing! Was it the kids or you who insisted on taking the rods? Either way, that's a great result for pittwater! Cheers scratchie!!!
  13. Great report peter. I'm sure you've inspired a few people to get out there and have a go! Cheers scratchie!!!
  14. Hey quochuy, As far as the pressure goes, some of the pro's I speak too say a rising or steady pressure is best for fishing. A falling or really low barometer can shut this fish down! A measure of 1018 or above is best! I find this pretty accurate when trolling for pelagics! Cheers scratchie!!!
  15. Yes mate, the little ones seem to be more aggressive than the larger ones because they always hit my lure first! Lol.
  16. Cheers shred! I really only go bass fishing because it's the only way to wet a line when I travel to the blue mtns! Also diesel is to lazy to get his big A up my way so it's the only chance I get to fish with him. The bass fishing is growing on me though. I do like the surface strikes!
  17. This is not a fishing report and has been moved.

  19. Your still into them! I must admit I haven't tried lately but I did ok this year after reading your posts! Well done! Cheers scratchie!!!
  20. Cracking fish mate! Sounds like a great day with you and your old man! Cheers scratchie!!!
  21. Welcome to the website James! And good luck with your goal for this year! Cheers scratchie!!!
  22. A boat just sitting in the driveway is a terrible waste. Good to see you put your stamp collection down and go get a few! Well done Cheers scratchie!!!
  23. Finding drop offs, positioning your yak adjacent to them and retrieving back towards you. Allowing your sp to work the right areas or strike zone. The same as when you fish with bait but working the lure. And trying matching the lure to any bait fish that are about. Sometimes it's more about positioning your yak so you can have more spread out casts in the right area! Hope that helps! Cheers scratchie!!!
